Adam Dunn occasionally plays at my softball fields. He goes up the middle, although its up the middle and 400 feet in the air.

How often does he strike out?

Ok...you guys...yeah...I'll just back away on this one because we'll never agree. I've played for 14 years, league ball up to World in C. I've tried to explain it and you just don't want to listen so have a good day.

Now one pussy thing that really stands out from my small dose of softball is dudes who go to bat looking for a damn walk.

Definition of bitchassness.

Have you played long enough to see a pitcher get knocked out cold? What about knock some teeth out? Dislocate a knee cap? How about break a bone in the leg?

A lot of teams have ex college players and some ex professional players. With the bats the way they are, you don't think they can smoke a ball that is being lobbed to them and do some serious damage to a pitcher?

Where do you live? If you live in Louisiana, go pitch in the D Cajun at Pelican Park. You'll know what the big deal is afterwards.

not gonna lie, i kinda get pissed too. i just play intramurals at school, but it's a bunch of good players (and then there's me). kid on our team takes walks all the time and then tells others to do it. frick that. if the pitch isnt gonna hit me, i was swinging.

Ive hit the pitcher before, a couple weeks ago actually. shite Ive hit my sister in the stomach before when she pitched. I have seen someones face get rearranged. Trust me I know what happens. That doesnt change my opinion.

Again, if the leagues would regulate the bats, this would be much less of an issue.

I think regulating the balls would be easier.

No, it isn't.

Hitting middle in softball = hitting middle in baseball.

Wow, not the brightest person in the room. You do know that it's a lot easier to control where you're hitting in softball than baseball, right?

Soph: Nuh uh! It's the same!

At higher levels pitching and the ability to hit the middle is required.

When I started we hit 50/500 core balls with double wall metal bats. Now you're either hitting 40/300 or 52/275 unless you're playing in Podunk or crap league. The balls have been regulated. The bats will be even more regulated next year.

At higher levels everyone plays a 5 man and very few people hit middle because it's damn near a guaranteed out.

Those are some live bats. My god

The shite they force us to use at LSU UREC won't allow anyone to hit rockets like some of those.
