Official Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Discussion Thread

I haven't decided what class I'm going to start with. I tried all of them in the beta and each had their pros and cons (as they should). I will probably just play whatever the rest of the group I'm playing with isn't playing as.

When I was able to log on during the stress test beta I played a monk, and it was a great time. I'm thinking I will stick with the monk for my first playthrough. Or maybe a wizard...

2. Monk
3. Witch Doctor
4. Wizard
5. Demon Hunter

What is wrong with the witch doctor? I loved the necro in dII and was looking forward to the dr.

I'm gonna start with barbarian because I like to run through the game just fricking things up with my fists for the first run through. I'll roll every one of them eventually though.

I've been getting alot of pressure to pick up a copy as well, but I'm not sure any of the classes fit my play style.

I was a Druid for D2. I liked being Semi-Melee, able to get into the action and deal damage, or be equally effective casting and letting pets tank. But, it looks like this class was abandoned.

- The witch doctor seems to be more of a lean to the sorcerer (casting) than towards the melee.

- Wizard & Demon Hunter seem to be evasive/kiting play styles when watching the beta videos. Maybe I'm wrong.

- Monk seems geared to party play and relies heavily on dodge. Given the light armor and melee range attack, that doesn't sound like a winning combo. Plus, it sounds even worse for the higher difficulties.

- Barbarian hopefully has been developed. The D2 version was pure melee. I'd love some solid AOE.

So, I've come full circle. No real class. Debating on getting D3.

Maybe the Barbarian, Demon Hunter or Witch Doctor can be a style I can enjoy. I just haven't seen enough yet.

Thoughts?

Can you play solo off line, as well as MMORPG?

D3 is such a horrible game honestly... I got it, beat in a day... then sold it got more than half my money back..

overall a horrible game, it also has terrible graphics
