Can someone recommend me a decent priced hotel, no more than $150 a night, to stay in Omaha? I looked just at the downtown places and the cheapest is $269 a night. Since my brother and I will be spending most of the time at the park, don't see the point in spending a whole lot of money on a room, but don't plan on sleeping in a rental car either.
As far as flights, was thinking about flying into Kansas City and then driving with our rental car, but it is about the same price with no rental car and flying into Omaha. Figure the hotel will have transportation to and from the park or we could take a cab or public transportation.
TIA

Stayed across the river in Iowa. Took no more than 3 minutes to get into downtown Omaha. There were about 3 or 4 hotels over there right next to the casino. Don't know about price though. I'd imagine it's fairly comparable.

I stayed in a tent in Iowa. Went in college with 4 buddies. Cost us $8/person for 3 nights. Just brought 2 tents and they had showers and bathrooms. Greatest idea ever.

If you're waiting until now to book, the cheapest options are probably going to be Council Bluffs or west side of Omaha.

So the cheapest you can find is $270 but you only want to spend $150 a night?
Hate to break it to ya but the prices are going to be higher for this special event like any other city

Depends on how far you want to be from the stadium. Stayed across the river in Council Bluffs one year and it was fine. Don't know if they have gone up on rates since it is closer to the new stadium. Stayed in Bellvue the last time which was about 10 minutes from Rosenblatt.

Well that is like staying in Metairie or staying in downtown NO. I don't mind staying outside of downtown, but don't want to pay $270 a night. I am sure there are cheaper options, which is why I am asking for some assistance. Yes I am too lazy to look for myself

I'd get them way ahead of time. We decided to go like a week before the CWS in 09 and couldn't find a hotel within many cities around there.. Just drove home that night

My father stayed in Iowa in 2000, the rooms were really cheap.

We stayed in Iowa right across the river in 09.. Cant remember how much the room was but I don't think it was outrageous

went 3 times, 98,00 & 09 . Stayed in Central & West Omaha about 20 min ride away for around that price. booked rooms a week before it started. many cancelation if your team doesn't make it.
