many others have made the same point as to why Black and Gold would be bad for us. Yes the colors look good but it would kill merchandising sales. People would just wear their Saints gear to games instead of buying official team apparel

Battle is way too difficult for a mascot.
Let's just be the Rougarou and make it a wolf. That way I can wear my NC State gear and rep still.
It is Louisiana culture. It is unique. It isn't a pussy mascot like a pelican. I think it would quite frankly be one of the best mascots in all of sports. People would be fascinated by it. It has a story and is part of our culture.
