No, not really. Best chance of keeping him is by letting Van Gundy go. People act like this is the first time a coach has been pushed out. I hate to say it, but the more and more you look at it, Shaq was right. Plus, his player rotations and who he plays and doesnt play is bad. Chrisfrickinduhon
Van Gundy has taken them as far as he can, and after his whole BS at that press confrence, its obvious. He sealed his fate after that super awkward press confrence.
Howards biggest problem is who he has around him offering him selfish advice. Like his agent, who obviously wants his biggest client out of a small market so HE can make more money and get more clients. Howard makes just as much money anywhere he goes or stays.

Leave it to a dumbass to see it that way. Nobody is defending Dwight. The star player always gets his way in these situations. I'm just giving perspective.

Dont really disagree with most of this. I dont see your issue other than your man crush on SVG.
If you would read my shite with some intelligence maybe then you would see that I'm pretty much saying "Dwight needs to make his own decisions".
But other than that, we do disagree that SVG needs to go. The writing has been on the wall for over a year on that one. The press confrence just sealed it. Dude just isnt a good leader, and is very stubborn.
Dwight isn't a great leader for the most part either. I wish Dwight would stop caring what others think. He would be better off, and so would any team hes on.

If Howard sits out the post season in protest of his coach, I would consider him the biggest fricking bitch in the NBA. This coming from a Mavs fan who was salivating like mad earlier in the season at the prospect of signing him in the offseason.
At this point, I'd rather the Mavs pass on Howard and sign some other folks instead.
