agreed. if they kept the fluidity of the upper decks' designs, then i'd like it more if they changed that but kept the arches from the lower part of the design.

The current SEZ looks completely different than the NEZ already. While this won't make it look exact, it looks a hell of a lot closer to it than this...

Do ya'll agree or disagree that 66 suites and 3,000 club seats just doesnt seem like enough for the cost of this proposal? Shouldn't an upper deck have more seats favorable to the average fan who can afford it? I understand the funds will come from TAF who gets their money from donations, but its keeping the rich in, and the average out doesn't it?

Disagree. The fact that the premium dollar seats are going in is what is driving the funding to complete the expansion.
Also, think of it this way, a percentage of the people relocating from the stands to the club seats and suites will open up their old seats to new season ticket holders.

It's obvious that it includes some room for future expansion on the top as well as some room marked "future" for what I am guessing will eventually be gameday suites.
Those premium seats are what is driving this development....and the design looks flexible.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I like yours better than the proposal. What happens if it gets denied do they come up with a different proposal?

I don't like how it's pretty much all "suite" driven addition. Get the common folk up there, the ones that actually make noise.

The elite will serve their purpose...as a backboard to bounce all of the noise back down on the field that the students and band make.

No, it's either rejected completely or accepted with changes requested by LSU. However, LSU will have plenty of opportunities to provide input for the design through the design development phase (which should start as soon as the BOS gives the okay to move forward).

In one of the renderings, the arches look much better. They are bordered by parapet walls on either side instead of between every 2nd arch.
There are two different designs. Only one looks good even though both have the stupid glass atrium.
The one with the people drawn in looks stupid.
For the record, I'm in the camp that thinks the east and west upper decks both look stupid because of their lack of design continunity with the older lower decks that they covered up.

The arched windows they placed in the upper levels that are actually offset from the lower wall is just one example of the true BS that is put forth in this design. (I'll give you a hint, arches are supposed to actually have a purpose)
This. If they fixed that and made the top of the wall high enough to hide the concessions stand boxes at the top, it would be a slam dunk to me.

It will never be done in time.

I like the design, i doubt there will be concession stand sticking out the top.
look at the image from inside the stadium again and tell me you don't see a bunch of strange buildings (concession stands) just sitting up there. it's a concourse with freestanding buildings on top that stick out from above the arches.

Inside looks pretty nice. Has nice symmetry. I like the duel jumbotrons. However, the outside I dont really care for. I would like to see the coliseum like look or something within that style continued around the whole south endzone side. I wish they would have tried the same with the West side.

can someone photoshop the outside of the new addition without all of those freakin circles above the arches? it's just way too freakin busy...

And the complaining...

Looks like they are more concerned about building luxury suites than seats for the average fan.
