The Grapevine is pretty good in Dville.
If in Convent, the only answer is Hymel's

Finally a thread about my town.
Grapevine is really the only answer if you're in town. Lee's Chinese by the Sunshine Bridge (order off the menu, don't do the buffet.) as well. (Family friend so I have to plug it.)
If you really want to splurge and try one of the best restaurants in the entire state, right on the other side of the Sunshine Bridge is Latil's Landing Restaurant in Houma's House Plantation.

More of a "good" place to eat, instead of a "nice" place to eat. But a very good one.

Hymel's was much better 6-7 years ago before they changed ownership

The old man's son.
Know them both very well. I love that damn place. It was better a few years ago though. I have a menu from the early 80's and the prices would make you puke

Haven't been to Hymel's in years. Since I was a teenager probably. It was the go to place for fried seafood in the area, mainly because there was no where else to go.
But always had great times and memories there from when I was younger.

I have a friend that works there. He says the food is awesome but pricey as hell. I hope to check out there as well as Latils Landing one day...

I was in there alot as a kid in the early 80's. My grandparents house was directly next door. It's not there anymore. It was torn down.
