re: ESPN story on Payton suspension

Payton telling his coaches to "get our ducks in a row" does not necessarily mean he was telling them to lie. He could just be preparing them for the interview process with the NFL. A team of businesspeople making a presentation can say get our ducks in a row and it just means let's all be prepared. That's my main problem with the bountygate report. It makes assumptions based on SEEMINGLY evasive actions by Payton, but no actual hard evidence. It blasts the saints for making "cursory" inquiries about the bounty system but they only made cursory inquiries in response to the NFL's own "cursory" inquiry.
