Anyone used them before, thinking of getting my shotgun coated.

My gunsmith has not good results with handguns that have been duracoated. Haven't heard anything about long guns.

Anyone seen one is person? Is it a smooth coat or more like a rhino line just not that rough? It would be nice if it was the ladder.

Buddy of mine does it. Give him a call and he can help you out. Located in St Amant (Gonzales)

Its a smooth coat, that is pretty durable. The gun in my sig had cerakote on it which I feel is a little tougher, but it has to be baked on.
My new gun will probably use dura coat though.

Didn't realize this was talked about less than a week ago.

Think he'd do my nova? It's scratched up pretty bad.

Used some on some AR mags. Need a good delivery system. I had a shitty one and the paint sprayed with much difficulty, e.g., it took me 30 minutes to do one magazine. However, it's good stuff, very tough. Been wanting to try the new thing they sell where it comes with an aerosol propellant.

I bought some to spray my mailbox.

So what does a kit that will coat a Savage 22LR rifle cost.

Cerakote
Depending on which one you use, this could require an oven to cure it. The rifle in my sig was cerakoted, it is definitely a tough coating. It is definitely not as easy to apply as duracoat though.

The thing my buddy was telling me about is he has a friend u send your gun to and he coats it. I think it was like 115 a gun.

What are the opinions on a cool two tone finish for a pistol? I am thinking I like my black rubber grips, maybe keep the controls and slide black, or some other darker color and the frame a lighter one.
Ideas? There's a shite ton of colors to choose from.
