Wegman's rules. I wish they would expand down South.

Target on Millerville is the best to shop at in this area.

Never heard of them, or Shaw's either.
I am surprised that Whole Foods didn't make the top 5. The price factor probably did them in.

Wegman's is like a Whole Foods and a Publix combined. You can get your organic quinoa and free range chickens, but you can also get twinkies and doritos.

I love publix, their subs are on point.

Never heard of any of them.
In Shreveport/Bossier I'd rank them this way:
1. Albertsons
2. Brookshires
3. Krogers
4. Walmart

People hate Walmart but still go there in droves. They have a commanding share of supermarket sales.
Prices > anything else... for most folks.

None in LA, that I know of.
I wish they would build one in BR.

Not only is there no Publix here in NW La. but I've never heard of it.

Publix is just ok. Overpriced for how not nice they are.
Posted on 4/3/12 at 12:40 pm to Degas
I have to think that Fresh Market is not on the list for best is that they have such a tiny presence in the market place, and the prices make some people back away for other markets.

Agreed.
They have friendly service, though, and they're always clean.
I usually hit up Whole Foods then (sic) Krogers

The best in Texas are Super HEB and their spin off Central Market. Both are better and cheaper, including natural/organic stuff than Whole Foods.

Ya, Whole Foods is mersh. Overpriced food to help hipsters feel self important. I also don't like the faux-local feel they try to perpetuate when they are as corporate as any other chain.
Sorry if any of you love WF.
