This is what I hear constantly being from Lafayette, it's a joke. You are all right in that they should be happy that their football program finally has a pulse and their softball program is always top ranked, but the fact of the matter is they cannot handle that most other people in the state love LSU (the big bad bully of BR). All alliterations aside, the ignorant hatred runs deep and there's no reasoning with them...save you breath and your fingers...

Skull...so your saying that the Board of Regents information is incorrect? I would think the information provided by the Regents along with the infighting among various levels of LSU main campus vs. other LSU entities would be correct. If not, please enlighten me.

There's a reason for the descrepancy in funding. It is based on a formula. Just numbers. Nothing to do with conspiracies or back room deals.

I realize that. Its based on performance, but still the dollar figures are correct in the amount LSU vs. the rest of the state receives. No?

If you want to be UL...fine, great, and more power to you, but how bout you get the ULS/schools within that system to want it too before you start pointing fingers toward others outside the ULS.
I suggest you make your case before the La Techs, UL@M, and others before you worry bout LSU.
LSU is a big target and easy to take shots at, but if you think LSU was the one one balking bout the power play you tried, you are delusional.
