Good man who tried very hard, made some real bad decisions coordinator wise though and it wasn't just DC's, his final OC was a disaster too

He used to substitiute at Broadmoor High after he got fired my senior year. I remember talking with him. Had a great attitude and was grateful for his opportunity he had. I rememeber as a HS senior I expected him to be bitter about it, but he was a complete class act.

Yeah, was it Bob McConnell? Guy was terrible and was previously our WR Coach, I believe. Probably was never an OC before or since. All in all I liked Gerry but he was damn stubborn and hard headed. Kinda like someone else I know of....

Yes, Coach Dinardo had the same downfall as other head coaches--excessive loyalty to assistants, esp. to Lou Tepper, former DC.
But I did meet him as he made a visit to his restaurant in Baton Rouge one time--was very friendly, posed for pictures with several customers and it was really nice to meet him.
