Non-championship (SEC, regional, CWS) dogpiles are pretty tacky. Although, I'm not sure what we saw last night was a dogpile, per se.

I just love the hypocrisy of this place.we crucified Ole miss a few years ago for a celebration that looked pretty similar to what we saw last night. But I guess it's ok for LSU to do it

I haven't read through the thread, but here goes... I LOVED the dog pile. This team has been lacking the spark, the emotion, the drive, the M.O., the want, that great baseball teams have. It's been missing in recent years. You see signs of it with moments of last night, but the key to success is to build on it. The next 2 days are going to tell a lot about the rest of this season. If they can build on the enthusiasm and that passion for the game, this can be a great team. Just ask Kentucky what confidence can do for you.

Now let's get this series and the sweep!

I said the same think Honk dog.

Two years ago Sec tournament championship dogpiles were tacky. Now Friday night game 1 of SEC dogpiles are awesome. "Let the kids play."

People need to make up their minds. Or have expectations been lowered that much?

Just another double standard from the most self righteous fanbase in college baseball.

Can't wait to give the entire state roster a standing O tonight, so I can run to the rant & pat myself on the back!

I really hate the generalization of fanbase, as if we all think the same fricking thing.

Are you really freakin' serious! LSU players celebrating a great game in traditional baseball fashion, and you don't like it?

What is with all the bitches on this site?

+1. It was excessive for a Friday night game IMO. I've been on the road with the team and when the other team does it, we complain about it and call it low class.

Let me check on that:

1. Win the BCS or fire the coach.......CHECK.

2. Win the College World Series or fire the coach......CHECK.

3. Make the NIT or fire the coach......DOH!

You sound like a few other pricks on this site that are always ready to criticize LSU fans about any little thing while taking up for the opposition.
Makes me wonder if you are just posing as LSU fans or just think you are better than most LSU fans.

I can rememeber a time when we won sec tournaments and regionals where a dog pile was passed on.

With a come from behind walk off hit in extra innings when your bats had been ice cold all game? No, I doubt it. If LSU won this game with a throw to first you wouldn't have seen this celebration either. So to make this comment about seeing regional victories with no dogpiles is pointless and moronic.

Suppose those days are gone.
Seems some here have re adjusted expectations.

Again, what are you bitching about? The team being excited about a come from behind win in extra innings? A walk off winning hit? Really?

And you want the fans to either call the team out on it or condemn them for having adjusted expectations? I swear, this site makes me hate a portion of our fanbase. There is a self-loathing lot that always comes out.

A lot of that "posing" going on here.

More talk here bout the freaking player celebration than the player walk off extra inning win or the outstanding pitching.

I smell chit stirring trolls.

Huge difference even in the reason for the two celebrations. Ole Miss celebrated because they beat LSU. If they had swept Kentucky or even State, there would not have been a dogpile.

LSU celebrated last night because they won a game they trailed in the 10th inning and had struggled all night to scratch. Wouldn't matter what SEC team they beat, it would have been the same result.

If it bothers you that LSU players and fans are perfectly okay with it all, you'll just have to live with it. I can't understand why some people post thousands upon thousands of posts on this board, apparently having very little in the way of a social life, all the while whining and complaining. Must be a sad existence.
