Even Jefferson's harshest critics must admit that they were encouraged by what they saw from him in his freshman year. The problem is that he didn't progress as expected. As matter of fact, he may have regressed.

The article that you quoted has an edit on the bottom which says that the grades were done before the combine. It looks like some reporters were caught writing an article without checking the source. Probably got a link in a chain e-mail or off of some message board.

For all the love that Kellen Moore received (top 4 at some point maybe?), he's not too far from JJ. I always thought he's much better than how he finished in the evaluations.

Actually I didn't say "I told you so"! I was disputing that JJ deserved to return as starter.

Regardless of his physical skills JJ is not a viable candidate to be an NFL QB!

He was a polarizing figure. He continues to be polarizing among the LSU faithful. And yes, to the other poster, more so than Josh Booty IMO.

'm not sure if this is right or not, pertaining to my earlier post the JJ finished 315 out of 315 at the combine, but i keep finding more and more recent articles stating it true.

It all based off the same BS story from Tigerrag. Even the story you posted edited to say that's wrong.

Maybe people just don't like an arrogant player who was given way to many opportunities to succeed. It isn't that he was bad it's that he was selfish. I find him completely irrelevant but I can see why he rubs people the wrong way. his failure to acknowledge his own mistakes make people dislike him.

I smell popcorn.

Moore and Jefferson are complete opposites of each other. From the neck down, Moore has none of the tools requitred to play in the NFL, but he has everything needed from the neck up. Jefferson's makeup is the opposite of Moore's.

Some of you need to get a life. I know JJ wasn't a good qb but damn. Is it that he Ike's and made LSU lose in the bcscg? Because there is more to blame than JJ. I'm sure JJ wasn't calling the options in the 4th. Also my accomplishments in life are enough to where I dont have to live vicariously through 18-21 yr olds this making my weekend and summer shite since we didnt win the title.

thats all fine and dandy, but he took none of the responsibility at all he put it al on the rest of a team, he made stupid mistakes that he always makes, frick him hes dirt to me and to alot of other people stop trying to stick up for him hes a big boy.

What a surprise! I am shocked that he was invited.
Obviously the NFL scouts didn't watch many LSU games.

The true crime here is that this kid had someone telling him that he was an NFL caliber players. He really thought that he could be an NFL player.

He never had a shot. He's sucked from Day 1, and never had a shot at making it in the NFL -- even as a third string practice squad player.

I didn't see it, but a friend told me that he saw an interview right before the BCSCG where Jefferson talked about "showcasing his talents" for the NFL scouts. I just shook my head in disbelief. Seriously, who the f'ck was in this kids ear. They should have told him to get his arse to class because he doesn't have a f'ing prayer of getting paid to play football.

Well Lee didn't get invited to the combine so if you're going purely on that Les made the right choice.

Ummm, in case you missed it he was just invited to the NFL combine. Only players that have a realistic shot of getting drafted get those invites.

And more than likely will sign as a UDFA if he's not a late round draft pick. So I would say he will definitely have a shot to make an NFL team.

Far from sticking up for him. I was lurking when Lee had his horrible season in 08 , but I woulda some the same thing had posters been calling him a pos. I agree he shoulda been a man and took responsibility for playing like shite at times, but with some posters it's gone to far. Regardless , JJ has done more for LSU football than all these posters , calling him shite, ever will.

More likely to play for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
