I'm not mad at the Krewe for the float...I am mad that LSU's performance on Jan. 9 made it fodder to be skewered.
+1.
I think the float was very funny and have laughed with others about it. I'm dyed in the wool purple and gold but on January 9 my Tigers played the very worst game I've seen them play since Dinardo's last year and it can all be laid at the feet of Coach Miles.

the roll tide part would have pissed me off. I dont find anything wrong with mocking jj and miles love affair but the rtr shite would have caused me to throw stuff at them

Hell, that offensive statement does anger me as well but the most offensive was JJ and the offense on January 9. The thread asking if we are over that game made me chuckle. I'm not over the travesty of 1969 where our only loss was to Ole Miss and Notre Dame changed their bowl policy and got the Cotton Bowl bid over us. Do people think that I would even begin to be over January 9?!?!

Muses.
It was krewe d'Etat. Muses is all women anyway, and these are the kinds of float that Krewe does. They poke fun at everything. That's why it's becoming such a popular parade.

Yeah thats correct, it's called satire and 01/09/12 will go down as the perfect fodder for satire until next season when we prove otherwise. We had a great perfect season anyway and if we can't laugh at it then we have lost our way and sense of humor totally when taking in perspective of recent events in the world! With that said and lets kick butt in 12!

Whoa. Worse than Tennessee in '05? UAB '00? 'Bama '02? I can't say that the team, as a whole, played worse than in any game since '99. The defense played well all night, held the Tide to 5 fieldgoals and a garbage time TD. And if our offense would have had a pulse, Bama would not have broken 15 pts. You can only leave a defense on the field for so long.
And if the float would have just poked fun at
Miles and JJ (or even the shitty offensive line play--that deserved a spot on the float, for sure), the fans on this board would've been fine. But the Roll Tide shite? If you think people on an LSU message board are gonna be cool with that, or should be cool with that...

Does anyone have a picture of the front of this float? I wanted to show it to T Bob.

Love the Tigers but this is funny. People need to stop being so serious sometimes and see the humor in things...

Yeah, some tards can't have fun with it, so screw them. There will be jokes passed around about that game for years, they better develop some thicker skin.

good to see the city of New Orleans is ok mocking and ridiculing what happened here on 1-9-12. It's good to see them give the National Champions some love also as it said Roll Tide and had 21-0 on the float.
All in good fun.
All in good fun.

I'm still pissed about that one too. We deserved it, but Snotre dame had the fan base. Kudos to the 69 seniors, they said screw the bowls. If we can't go to one of the big 4 then we'll just stay home.

exactly... in fact... I would've been very disappointed if Krewe d'Etat HADN'T made fun of that performance LSU put out on 1/9

Back when Tulane played football there was actually a large contingency of people there that hated LSU but that isn't the case anymore, since Tulane for the most part really doesn't play football anymore.
it's called jumping on the bandwagon-what NOLA does best.
