Team Fortress 2 on the PC has some serious master twitch gamers.

I have had scouts in that game kill me by shooting me in the face while jumping up and down on my head as I was running around trying to shake them.

So much fun.

Then again, TF2 is a much different game compared to BF and CoD.

For an experienced gamer, those games are actually fairly easy.

Define experienced gamer. Maybe you just didn't play through the games all the way through. They both get progressively harder until they would be frustrating for anyone. Awesome, but frustrating.

+1

The NASCAR racing games with no assists are pretty damn difficult on tracks that require braking, etc.

Yep. It's fun as shite when you have a steering wheel and you're going 200 mph in the turns drafting with your friends trying to push them to the front.

I didn't like using my steering wheel on forza

Disagree. All 3 require different skills. None more than the other.

You can't pay me to watch a whole NASCAR race, but I will play the shite out of the game with friends.

Me and my buddies would always race 4 players back in the day on OG xbox. Those were days

Someone would always end up throwing a controller/swinging/etc when theyd get spun out last lap

Just to clarify, I'm talking at the highest level, obviously you can c stick spam on melee but to be good requires a great combination of knowledge and timing and reflexes

I played dota a TON, as well as lol more recently, Dota has too many I win buttons (troll, heart stacking, assassin bitch with crits) to truly require ad much skill.

Lol is the most balanced and therefore requires the most skill to win big (see the tournaments, hotshotgg etc)

You havent played Dota on a high level if you think rikimaru is an I win button. He gets completely shut down by any decent team. All three of the games have tournaments, and prominent streamers, i dont see how that makes a case for LoL to be better.
As far as why LoL requires less skill
* no denying
* no loss of gold on death
* towers do more damage resulting in being safe from ganks early game, not the case in dota.
* juking requires more skill in Dota as there is actually a forest, not just some bushes

Dota is honestly just as balanced as LoL, HoN is another story, but it shares almost everything with dota except they have a few additional overpowered heroes.

LoL is the CoD of MOBAs. It's extremely popular, and their are tournaments and extremely good players at it, but trying to compare it to DOTA is like comparing CoD to CS.

1.

talking about the bitch who crits heroes with auto attack not riki..

Easy skill to obtain..

towers aren't a major factor in any of the 3 games, especially when it comes to skill..

this is the only one that I give you.

I'm sorry, but this is just wrong. High level LoL is harder than high level Dota.. and yes I've played both extensively.

The bosses on the Mega Man games on SNES took real skill.

Gondar/Bounty Hunter is also shut down in any pro game, because they understand how to focus fire and deal with stealth characters.

I'll give you that, but it's still a skill not required in LoL, meaning laning requires slighty more skill in Dota.

Tier 1 towers do 200 damage in LoL, and 75 damage in Dota, it's impossible to gank in the tower lvl 1 in LoL, or much harder.

I'm glad you gave reasons for this instead of a personal ancedote.

You also meantioned heart stacking as something imbalanced about dota. I'm assuming you are talking about heart of tarasque. Maybe you haven't played dota in some time, but heart stops regen if you've taken damage from a player/hero in the last 4 seconds, so no combat regen. Also, if you let an opponent get that much farm, considering they lose gold when they die(which you haven't addressed) there are still better items to buy than 2+ hearts.

So are you going to give me a reason for your opinion, or just laugh and act all elitist?

Still wrong.. I can't think of the name for the life of me but its the one who slowly phases out as she gets more points in her 3rd skill..

Comparing a flat rate of damage across games? lol - also like I said towers have nothing to do with skill.

You're just going to ignore the cranium basher troll in the room eh? there are just too many heroes that are ridiculously easy to win with in Dota.

You obviously have a soft spot in your heart for it, which I understand as I played it throughout college until LoL came out.. but the better the balance the more skill is required (why sports are on as even a playing field as possible, then seeing who is the best) You can't legitimately argue against that.

From another topic..

quote:

You know how you deny your lane in LoL? Actually play against your opponent. You know how you deny in Dota? PVE minions...

Dota is much harder to just start off - as there is no matching system so you could be against a pro right off the bat, no tutorial, and is limited by the WC3 engine.. but just because LoL is easier to get into does not make it easier at the top.

ETA: it's Phantom Assassin I'm talking about, blink strike crit crit crit dead.

Phantom lancer is another auto attack easy mode hero.

All this being said I wish Dota 2 wasn't so different from the original.. + I really dislike the interface in 2, I had really high hopes for it too.

Deserves it's own thread. I've been trying to play that a lot and I just....don't like it.
