When its calm and have good tide movement...
What kind of boat you working with? If you are fishing a decent sized bay boat, I would say June and July for numbers.

you can catch fish year round in Cocodrie area. Like a previous poster said, you need water movement. May and June are best for numbers.
Here's my best assessment of areas to fish for certain times of year:
January: marsh, Lake Decade, Sister lake.
February: hunt and peck for them on good weather days, but I'm not very successful in February
March: Fish will begin to move into the southern bays and lakes, but will still be spotty.
April: same
May: fish exclusively in Lake Pelto and Timbalier areas
June: Can catch them anywhere, but late June start moving West
July: fish are still in Pelto, but I start moving out west to coon point and Mardi Gras rigs
August: I will fish on deeper platforms and structure
September through November: I like fishing structure where the water will be warmer. i.e. around rocks.
December: back to Marsh and Decade area

yep. Spring and early summer were not very prolific last year. Should make for some bigger fish this year

I definitely noticed some larger trout being caught last year after the break because of the oil spill.

We usually go out with Top Water Charters. Who are some other good guides in Cocodrie?

I have a guy that is a guide but does not advertise it much. I'd rather not post his info either.
