I have heard Clemson and FSU as potential candidates for the big 12. Lots of smoke about that on other websites. Either way it does appear like the big 12 is looking to expand.
I have heard this too esp with fsu fans getting sick and tired of the lack luster of acc football and how the big game atmosphere has left and how none of the acc teams outside of clemson bring any fans

The ACC is suffering right now, but I doubt FSU or Clemson would leave for the Big 12. I can see them joining the SEC if the SEC decides to expand to 16 and they REALLY want out of the ACC.
My only issue with this info is that the Big 12 would only have 11 teams competing for the conference title in football. I guess the Notre Dame games against the Big 12 teams would be considered non-conference...but it means that the other teams would play 9 conference games, with three non-conference games...so, no divisions and they wouldn't play one team every year. Maybe they can live with that.
