JJ game thread (on Cox tv) - South/JJ 19 North 24 - FINAL

What network?
ps...on channel 129 in Houston on comcast...
JJ Exec Summary: JJ had some nice passes on good play selection for him. He had a good pass completion % (about 7 for 10 or so?) and some nice runs, one for a TD. When he looked good, he looked a lot like he did when he looked good as a Tiger. He had a couple of poor underthrows, and at least 2 sacks, one on his last play when he was driving the South late in the 4th Qrt for a 15-20 yard loss to end his playing time. It was the best of times and the worst of times all in his 4 possessions, 3 at the beginning of the game, and one late in the 4th QTR. His stats will look good, but he gave reason for his fans and critics to conclude whatever they want, as he was both strong and really bad all at the same time. The commentary from the announcers early in the game was that he lacked consistency in his career, and as it turns out, he was exactly that in this game, just as he was in his career at LSU.
Played first 3 series for the South, and no play since. He led the team for the opening drive with a few nice passes and then JJ ran for a TD on a Qb draw from about 7 yards. My guess is he is about 4-5 for 35-30 yards, with about 20 yards rushing and a TD, 1 outright sack, another lost ball/fumble (or incompletion as he was getting hit in the pocket as he threw the ball) that the south recovered anyway. The announcers said he showed some good things and also his typical inconsistency that could limit how much of a look he gets at the next level. Also said he looked really sharp in practice all week with strong and accurate throws.
JJ in game in 4th QTR with 6:49 and team down by 6...Nice runs and throws down to 30 and then......uh oh.... JJ gets pressured while going for it on 4th and 5 and takes rougly a 20 yard loss when he is sacked back near midfield....hope that is not his last play, cause it was really really bad for him and his team.
South gets ball back on a fumble, but JJ does not look like he is getting another shot...Looks like the sack might be the end of this game (and college career, if no other all star game for him) with a terrible play. Not good.
One last possession for the South with 1:00 minute, but the Univ of Central Ar_Kansas Qb Nathan Dick gets the nod to try to win it...Clocks runs out on the South.
Kendrick Adams: He was in about 1/3 to 1/2 of the game, starting and playing most of the 1st half. Saw him in on a gang tackle. Not sure if he had any other tackles. Think he might have had a knocked down pass? He was beat to the corner by Qb on one pay. All in all, he played, but nothing special one way or the other.
The Stadium is EMPTY !!!!!!!!! Tons of no-names from schools in Div 2 and 3. Bush league announcers. I am crazy for watching this, but there are Tigers playing with LSU helmets, so I am tuned in!

based on his comments/quotes, he did not watch the Lee games. It would be interesting to see if he is organizing his day around JJ's game today. Not that I have room to talk, as that is what it looks like I am doing.

Players all star classic? That's the game I see on TV now. It starts at 3. I'm guessing this is the one. BR cox channel 37, 1037 HD. Cox sports television.

The gate won't cover the cost of the officials. Never seen a stadium so empty. Should have let the municipal employees/ teachers & students in for free to fill it up a little more.
