I know that a year ago we had the prize of Shreveport [Jermauria Rasco] commit to the Tigers on NSD. We've had a handful of others [the Booty's] in the nearly 30 years I've followed the Tigers. More times than not, however, we usually are on the short end of getting the best out of Shreveport to a Texas, Oklahoma or Arkansas school.

I just saw this link and the reaction of the audience supporting the Longhorns was a tad suprising [or perhaps it shouldn't be...]

If he knew 2 days ago he should have informed LSU.

What could he possibly gain by not doing this?

Shreveport can hardly be considered in the state anyway. It's a hell hole. Have you seen Bayou Billionaires? Enough said...

more times than not? BS

this was a rare occasion...

that is like saying "more times than not, we get the short end of the stick of getting the best out of Dutchtown and lose the good ones to BAMA"

Caiborne and Hester were both two star signees.

Remember, we are placing all of our faith in the "star system". They weren't the big names at the time.

Claiborne was recruited by a lot of people as a WR. That's why he was 2 stars

No he wasn't. He was recruited by very few people, and as an athlete. He had one other BCS offer and a few from the Sun Belt, and there was no film of him on any service until after he committed to LSU and Scarborough put it together himself. That's why he was a low 3 star.
