Nick Saban had a better day today. No way to spin it, no matter how hard someone tries.

Yes we do. I am often reminded why I lurked for 5 years before signing up. LSU "fans " act like we didn't go 13-1 while playing one of the hardest schedules ever and aren't gonna be the consensus favorite to win the BCSCG

If memory serves that was some of the advice that Saban gave to Les Miles when he left for Miami. He warned Les that the LSU fan base has a 'doom and gloom' tendency.

S, I know what you are talking about. Fans around the country can be analytical and critical about their own programs without understanding the circumstances at other schools.
Just over the weekend, after Duke beat St. John's and moved to 18-3, fans were talking about how this was the worst team in a decade and they didn't deserve to be ranked in the top 15. I asked people to name even 8 teams better than Duke and people had nothing.
It's an annoying trend that happens across message boards.
But I think some LSU fans take it to a new level. Reading the comments on here, you would think that LSU either came off a 13-12 record the past 2 years or struggled to crack the top 25 in the ACC. It's amazing how many people think a 13-1 team which was clearly the second best team in the country is a sinking ship.

Only if possessing an intellect and being able to weild it objectively makes one "fragile." The truth is that we lost the top three players in the state of Louisiana. Not positive. The truth is that all third-party observers who study recruiting agree that Saban and Bama outrecruited us by a wide margin this season (unless you are one of those who believe that all of the recruiting services are colluding against LSU). the nick saban love on this board is worse then anywhere on this site. Maybe even tidefans to.
