I wouldn't go to Tennessee or Washington or California or any other continental US state for my honeymoon either.. not just Disney. For me, Disney is a trip easily taken during some time off or something.. not for my honeymoon. It's not incredibly far, not incredibly expensive, and I have friends in Orlando.

I'm not upset or anything nor am I focusing on any particular person, I just don't think people realize how much stuff Disney has to offer in comparison to other vacation destinations. The place was designed to make sure adults have as much fun as kids. Pleasure Island was really fun and it's a shame they closed it.

I totally agree with you. I have no problems with adults going. I would love to go right now, before I have kids.

Me either, I'm just trying to understand why Lady looks down on people for going to Disney on a honeymoon.
As for Disney, in general, a lot of people have no idea how adult a Disney trip can be. If you take the time to call them and tell them you're looking for that type of vacation they'll map out dining, spas, special events, etc.

Definitely and around the world at Epcot is fun. They have a great beer selection and believe it or not during the food and wine festival (which is a must for any Disney fan) the drink selection almost triples. It is awesome.

We were there in November for the F&W Fest. Amazing experience. The biggest problem was that it's one of the few things that even the locals flock to Disney to take part in. It got really crowded in the evening when people got off of work.

The Yachtsman has the best steak on Disney property but most people don't even know the restaurant exists. Its a hidden gem and usually a lot easier to get a reservation for.

You seem to know alot about Disney dining. Have you been to Fulton's Crab House? Never got a chance to eat there but wanted to.

I knew Disney had its small collection of enthusiasts. And Im pretty sure you'd have to be one to call it an ideal honeymoon destination. Seems like something rednecks would do for a honeymoon. The same reason I dont think it is an ideal honeymoon destination is the same reason i don't think it is an ideal place for adults to vacation. Everyone has their different ideas of fun. I'd rather a type of natural setting, off the beating path, where fun can be had. Not manmade attractions and such to keep me entertained

No more than the amount of rednecks that go on cruises. Made that mistake once. Never again will I take a cruise to the Bahamas in the summer.

I've been there one time. I enjoyed the oyster sampler and the ultimate crab and lobster experience. I tried a little bit of a friends swordfish and it was really good. Ohhhh almost forgot the lobster ravioli is pretty awesome too.

Read what I posted though. I'm talking about things to do on property that have nothing to do with the parks. World class golf, Richard Petty driving (which will be adding Lamborghinis, Porches,and Ferrari to the cars you can drive), some of the worlds best swimming pools (Beach and Yacht Club), and a ton of other stuff. Pleasure Island was about as adult as you can get with high end dance clubs, comedy clubs, county, techno, etc. all within a 1/4 mile strip. Disney is far from a kids only destination but I respect that you like the outdoors. My point remains that there is something for everyone at a resort like Disney aside from the parks.

Something tropical more than likely. Something quiet. Planning a wedding is a long, tedious process. I don't want to be thrown into the hustle and bustle that is Disney world right afterward.
And for the record, good restaurants, golfing, spas are found in other places other than Disney.
there might not be roller coasters but that's not really my cup of tea

i dont think a cruise is a good honeymoon destination, but id rather do that than disney. Cruises are a good, rather cheap way, to just up and get away for a few days without much planning. and yes, they are full of rednecks because of that.
