Are there or were there ever any platforms in the lake?

Maurepas has an old platform or two; don't know about Pontchartain or what was drilled in Maureaps.

Yes, there are several gas platforms in Lake Pontchartrain.

yes there are, my last job i was going to a platform owned by Clovelly once a month to do their gas measurement and pull gas samples. their gas goes to Shell. I would take a boat from Kenner Boat Launch to the platform.

Yes. I abandoned an old gas metering platform and 6" pipeline along the St. Charles/Jefferson Parish line about 10 years ago.

There's a lot of gas under the lake however there's a moratorium on new wells bc of conservation issues. Only way to get that changed would be to have Edwin Edwards as your governor.
