Did he ever give his reasoning for decommitting? And I know that some of it had to do with the Nat'l Champ. performance but did he ever say why he backed out? What happened there?

Well would you want to play for a coach that quit on his team in the biggest game of the school's history? Cause to a lot of fans, and players that's what it looked like.

And no I have no link, but don't say that he didn't take the game into consideration.

I kind of figured a ranter started this thread.

This is what happened.

He visited some friends, and decided BR was just too far away.

Considering there is a link in this thread that said the game wasn't in consideration of why he stayed in Indiana, I'd say that you have the wrong opinion on the situation.

Didn't know BR got further from home after his original commit. Learn new stuff on this board every day. Even verified it on google earth.

2 things have been talked about. Lugenbill on ESPN said that PT was a big issue for him and his family and that was a contributor to him choosing ND. An LSU column(sry can't remember where I read it, so no link) said that his mother got very emotional that her son would be so far away from home and that eventhough he wanted to go to LSU, he decided to stay closer to home and enroll at ND.

Whatever the reason was, I doubt that the NCG had anything to do with it. I don't think that a coach having too much faith in his starting QB even when the world thought the backup should be in would deter a QB prospect from coming to LSU. If anything, it would encourage them that if they won the starting spot, Miles would back them 100% regardless of the situation or the opinions of people not directly associated with the team.

I think logistics and competition ultimately dictated his decommiting from LSU and enrolling at ND.

TBH, if he wasn't dead set on being at LSU and he could be swayed that easily to decommit, then it's probably better he didn't come down and stay for a year before transferring out. At least we know he isn't a longterm commit for LSU and we can focus on getting a QB that wants to be at LSU.

The only thing that sucks about the decommit was losing Miller. Big time.
