2012 may be LSU's best team ever?

We have no glaring weakness in 2012. I am not saying LSU wins it all because that takes a lot of good breaks, some luck, and a hell of a season. But, I do not see the weakness is LSU in 2012 that typically is yelling right at you going into the offseason.

OL -- maybe the strongest ever. Experience and depth everywhere. I think LSU is drastically better -- La'el Collins will be one of the best OL on the team and he barely played last year.

QB - Mett can spin it. He isn't a typical 'first-year' starter...he lit up JUCO and was winning first-string at UGA before being kicked off. I don't have doubts here.

RB -- Nothing needs to be said here.

FB -- Copeland is great and KH/SW can both play the position.

WR -- Slight doubt, but you have experience across the board. Landry is going to shine next year. OBJ will be OBJ. RS should improve a little. Wright is primed for a breakout year as the #1 big WR. Boone has experience and speed.

DL -- best end combo is college football; AJ is primed to breakout next year and Logan may be a 1st team All-SEC guy. Depth with Downs and Ego, Mickey J., and Q. Thomas give us 6 bodies in the middle. Brockers would have been huge to have back, but we are still ok. Justin Maclin on the edge could be a sleeper at DE.

LB -- Minter is ready to be a starter; Barrow has experience; Feist is coming in the spring and is physically ready to contribute at WLB, Muncie and Welter finally get a chance to show something. Loston could move inside the box, if needed.

CB - TM7 and Tharold are as good as any in the country. I am interested to see who becomes #3 and #4. David Jenkins and Jalen Collins, please stand up.

S - Eric Reid is as good as it gets and will be the field general. FS will be the only question mark with either Loston, Eugene, or Ronald Martin stepping in here. Maybe Sam Gibson or Ronnie Vinson do something here.

P -- Wing is good enough to play in the NFL...now.

K -- Alleman returns; he has been solid.

If Mett plays as well as he can, then I don't see LSU losing next year.

This is all true which still makes me so mad we're not going for two in a row.

If Mett can even come close to living up to the hype then I think so.

I don't like pumping sunshine with P&G glasses. When you look at LSU's roster objectively, the talent and depth do not worsen much at any position assuming no players improve (which is worse case scenario). We are bound to have a few guys explode in 2012 that no one expects. With the amount of "known" talent on the roster, LSU is a 800-lb gorilla in 2012 with one or two 'gaps' filled.

I have finally moved on -- the future is brighter than ever before (thank goodness).

I expect kill shots being laid on teams before the end of the first half.

Sick-nasty soul crushing arse whoopins will be dealt out by this team.

Its saying a lot but we may have the chance to have the best combo of offensive and defensive lines in LSU history and thats saying a lot. Its tough to beat the 03 lines but its going to be very very close IMO and thats where games are won.

I really think Bama gets rolled in TS next year. I will be disappointed if we don't win by double digits. It might be the loudest TS has ever been.

LSU should exert its will on all opponents except maybe Bama. Our running game should be improved...and passing, can't get worse.

I have concerns about the CB position to be honest

But that's only because of how good Claiborne was

I'm starting a vacation fund so i can make it down there for that game.

That will be a blood bath. Make those sons of bitches wish they had never set foot in Louisiana.

Should we be concerned about TM7 getting matched up against a taller WR?

I must have missed something. Thought he was transferring.
