so what is it exactly that you don't think he'll change?

Did you watch the NC game? Did we even try to win it with a 2 minute O with Lee throwing down the field? yes or no?

But do we really want a coach to always tell the truth? All the time? Especially about his player evaluations?

Seems to me Miles biggest problem is he tries to give the illusion of giving information because people push for it, while not actually saying anything.

Would be better IMO if his did a Jim Mora--- " You think you know, but you don't know".

But he tries to be nice, and as a result fails.

Choctaw, as soon as Les Miles spouts out some nondescript answer you post, "You see there guys, Coach just said _____."

thats usually sarcasm

quote:

However, when someone points out all the lies, excuse me, "deceptively honest" responses, that Miles has stated in the past, you claim that all coaches lie.

amirite?

quote:

Some say that's throwing a player under the bus (Ronnie Prude), others say it's holding players accountable. Remember after the Flordia game in 2000, Saban said his players had the "brook trout look". Yesterday, Les Miles assured us that his players practiced hard, and played hard for 60 minutes, even though we all saw otherwise.

well....he did say that some areas of the team didn't play as well as they should have.....and he got blasted for it. Basically....he's not allowed to say anything negative about anyone on the team unless his name is JJ.

So which is it?? I can guarantee you that if Miles had "held players accountable" yesterday he would've been ripped to shreds on this board for throwing players under the bus....unless ofcourse that player is JJ. He's in a lose-lose situation with you people.

quote:

The only thing Saban ever lied about was his own job status/inquiries.

don't try to feed me this bullshite....come on.

Keep spewing this negative shite you stupid MF.

LSU has gotten so much bad press from bandwagon fans lately its a wonder any recruit wants to come here.

By you idiots little temper tantrums you are hurting the very school you claim to love.

I'm starting to wonder if this site may be the most negative recruiting tool LSU has.

SUPPORT YOUR SCHOOL MORONS!
WE UNDERSTAND YOU HATE THE COACH!

Pathetic.

The LSU coaches have an entire off season now to implement a offense that plus to strengths of Mett rather than try to make it up as they go.

You missed the point. Mett was here in the spring. We had an entire off-season to work with him. And he was still determined to be only 3rd string worthy. Behind Lee. Who could not be trusted against Bamas rush. What opinion do you honestly think Miles has of Mett?

The Spring game is in about 80 days. What makes you think that Miles will be ready to turn Mett loose? In just 80 days? He had 37 days between Ga and Bama. What did he do with those days?

maybe miles would garner less criticism if he admitted he screwed up not going two minute O with Lee or even giving Lee a chance earlier and said he messed up punting late with a few minutes on the clock in a giving up manner.

So.you believe Mett should have been given reigns all season? Starting over two senior QB's? Both with playing experience under their belt?
Mett may not have been ready to handle it at that time and place coming onto a new team and learning a new system. Our wishful thinking is clouding rational discourse.

1) He just benched the most efficient QB in the SEC

2) The guy who now will be more effective and more efficient throwing the ball next year, was available to Miles on Jan. 9th

I'm optimistic because JJ is gone.
