are for losers (like me, when I am mad about a loss and go saintard) but the records (NFL and Franchise) set this year are truly jaw dropping. If we can get a good DC and Drew keeps performing at the same level, we will be VERY good in the coming years:
Passing Completions: 468 Drew Brees (2011) - NFL Record
Passing Completion Percentage: 71.2 Drew Brees (2011) – NFL Record
Passing Yards: 5,476 Drew Brees (2011) - NFL Record
Passing Touchdowns: 46 Drew Brees (2011)
Passing Rating: 110.6 Drew Brees (2011)
Receiving Receptions: 99 Jimmy Graham (2011)
Receiving Touchdowns: 11 Jimmy Graham (2011)
Points: 147 John Kasay (2011)
Yards From Scrimmage: 2,696 Darren Sproles (2011) - NFL Record
Points Scored: 62 vs Indianapolis Colts
Margin Of Victory: 62–7, October 23, 2011 vs Indianapolis Colts
The Colts records probably cost Caldwell his job.

Receptions in NFL Playoff Game: 15 Darren Sproles

Hey, I didn't know that one...thanks. Also, I think Drew set the franchise record for most passing attempts in a playoff game...I would rather us run the ball a little more than set that record.

BTW, the 15 are a franchise record for most catches in any game. Sproles was the free agent of the year. He fits in our offense like a glove.

I don't see his passing yards record standing for 27 years.

Brees is 5 behind Unitas for the consecutive games with a TD pass record that has stood for over 50 yrs.

That one will stand for a while. Although Unitas' records that are still holding up are super impressive considering the amount of passing done back then.

Sad thing is, when Drew breaks this its gonna need an asterisk. I heard on ESPN Unitas did it before quarterbacks had opposable thumbs.

That tackle would be like 30 penalties in the soft pussy league we play in today. They let 'em play in that playoff game though. More than they have all season

Surprised at both of these.
