a RB. ware, hilliard, ford, or blue

if he can get back to running well, i prefer ware b/c he can throw and has option QB experience in the handoff/reads

There had to have been some promises made in that meeting with Shep/Miles. Obviously the final decision comes down to the coach, but with Miles explaining next seasons offensive objectives, the wildcat probably was discussed at length.

Either way, it's awesome that he is sticking around although to be hair, his draft stock wasn't entirely too stellar either.

He needs to get many more looks in the run game as well. To me he seems like he was much more explosive with the run.
I really hope they start giving him specific packages and more plays toget him in space that aren't so obvious.
If he comes back just to be drastically misused again that'd be pretty upsetting.

People have been speculating about this for 3 yrs. I think they even ran it once or twice in his 1st yr with no success. I doubt he retuned to make the wild cat work and that would not enhance his chances of playing in the NFL.

Hope it is because we will have a beter passing QB and we become a passing and running threat on offense………

then he could play the "QB" in the wildcat. Let OBJ or somebody else run the sweep. Or let him run it and have Ware or Magee take the snap.

I doubt if anything changes.

One trick pony and all that, I hope I'm wrong, but Miles is just in damage control mode.

We need to make him our version of Darren Sproles...

Screens, catching balls out of the backfield, and use him in the return game

while miles and co kept trying to make JJ into an option QB, i never understood why we didn't go with more 2-back sets in the shotgun for option plays. shep would probably shine in that role

His first year he was used in wildcat quite a few time and averaged like 7 yards a carry even though EVERYONE knew he was going to run the ball.. seems successful to me

I know we broke away from crowtons shite, but the speed sweep and the wildcat plays with RS running the ball were successful..

He averages around 7 yards per carry over his whole career

no slow, but I think ware takes the snap and either gives to RS or keeps the ball, every once in a while both ware and RS have opportunities to pass the ball... they both did it in high school.

IMO this is by far the best Scenario for RS in college football, and on this team. He's not at his best at WR, at least not thus far.

But glad he's staying
