i love how some posters think you cant be a fan if you criticize a man who gets millions a year to make decisions, not STUPID, childish, moronic decisions that cost LSU a chance to win a NC. or how this criticism is somehow a shot at the players. its not.
not pulling JJ to try and spark the team or find a hot hand (for whatever reason) is a complete fail. no excuse.
these are the same morons who think if they wear an american flag on their lapel, they're more 'merican than you.
or, if they wear a cross around thier neck, they're more religious than you.
you can blindly go through life without asking 'why' or questioning the world around, but save us your BS judgment. go rub your "World's Biggest LSU fan" beer koozie and tell yourself its all OK.

If it is ok to criticize Coach Miles and the Tiger players why do our fans cry when someone give them a little.

I agree, but some take it to far.

legit criticism is ok and healthy. Much of what we've seen here since Monday is neither.

Agreed. It's beyond ridiculous at this point. I'm frustrated and annoyed but I'll be the last person to say Fire Miles, give him his papers, we're gonna suck so bad next season, etc.....

By all means you can be a fan and criticize CLM. I'm a huge fan and defender of CLM and will be the fist to say the performance of he and his staff Monday night is indefensible.
Where I take issue is when people go over the edge and become totally asinine, making ridiculous statements void of all logic, reason and common sense.
They want to resort to name calling. Claim he's an "average" coach. Claim he's won because he's lucky. Claim "anyone" at LSU could win with the talent (talent that CLM has recruited by the way).
etc. etc. etc.
So, by all means...criticize the BCS performance. But keep it in prospective. Regardless of how bad the BCS loss hurts, some FACTS are undeniable.
The most important one being, CLM has this LSU football program in the best shape its ever been in in its 119 year history.
13-1, undefeated regular season, won our division and an SEC Championship...and "fans" are whining and bitching like we went 6-8. GIVE ME A BREAK!

All I know is, miles lost the respect that he built up with me this year.
Me and him is at 2010 maybe 2009 levels again. This was a much bigger frickup then the Tennessee LE ole miss debacle

That's what you are doing by prematurely assuming you know 'why' that game went down the way it did and declaring it Miles' fault like you've done as shown with this quote.

Right, it's not. It's a shot at Miles because just like the people you seem to want to rage against, you've made up YOUR mind where the problem lies as well. With no more information than they have.
Pump your brakes. Wait for it. We'll find out the real deal on that game soon enough. Both sides could be right but at this point, it's all conjecture. So calm down.

Quality post.
Compare this to the tone of the original poster. It's night and day.

What LM did is like letting down or cheating on your wife or she cheats on you.
You were in love and did great for 7 years, won a title of best couple in the USA. You were leading the nation as the years best couple, and then BAM!!! Caught her cheating with another man.
Do you excuse her? Some will some won't just as fans are acting like right now. Do you still love her like you love LSU? Sure, but you want to divorce her because you CAN'T TRUST her.
I cannot trust LM because his compiled goofs and this quitting job/not playing to win have overcome the good things. Talent overcame those things as LM just proved what an incompetent coach he is.
We are the laughing stock of college football. Brockers, Randle OK, but losing RS, K Boone, others, plus the Miller kid (for whatever reason) sucks. Shep & Boone
Those guys are not ready but they are fed up with shite for brains as a coach.

When you evaluate someone you need to openly look at the good and the bad. If you look solely at one side, you will not get a good picture. Neither can be ignored.

Miles has compiled an impressive resume at LSU without a doubt. I will not even detail it. We all know of the big wins and Championships.
on the -
Miles has made some huge blunders which LSU has paid dearly for.
Forgetting the mis-management of the clock and other relatively minor stuff.
a)The naming of the co-defensive coordinators was one huge blunder that anyone that has ever managed ANYTHING knows that you can not have "two-heads" of anything.
LSU had to bite its tongue and wait until He decided to fix it. His stubbornness hurt LSU's season.
b)The same with the OC position in years past. I do believe he micro-manages it.
c) This incredible blunder and refusal to play JL.
This has hurt LSU, LSU recruiting and player retention and Miles.
Irrelevant of what the facts show in the future, perception is reality.
The fact that it was in one of the most publicized games ever AND on National TV AND for the NC, triples the impact.
Then his stubbornness and secretive attitude has even magnified it more. Sports channels are making fun, teams other than football are making fun.
SO if you want to evaluate Miles, you should consider him as a whole.
I had been ignoring the small, stupid mistakes and slowly believing in his better than average coaching skills because of his record; however, his action at this game have destroyed many of my views of Miles as a good manager or people and frankly I now also question his character.
When anyone acts/behaves out of arrogance and stubbornness, they will "get it wrong".

coonass, i agree with you.. actually i think that it can't be put any better than that.. however, you can't say that SOME of our 'fans' have gone a little out of control... some of the things that i read on here were painful to read and i don't think that they realize that they were trashing 18-22 year old kids and a man that's dedicated his life to getting this program to where it should be

Posted on 1/13/12 at 7:43 am to Coonass
90% of the crap here isn't legit criticism..... It's pure stupidity.... Calling out our own players happens far too often in here as well.... Piling on RS after his decision about his nonproductivity during his career is classless as an example....
