Ron's predictions look about right to me. Clearly 2 tiers in the league. The catholic schools in the upper tier and the public schools in the lower.

damn not living in New Orleans anymore and not really caring about HS sports caused me to not realize this was the current district...weird

It got all FUBAR after the realignment, last year; and the LHSAA's absolute refusal to even consider allowing teams to play up to keep the CL intact.
Well, the LHSAA and the majority of public school principals who vote down almost every proposal to allow schools to play up in football, if they choose. It has affected basketball, as well.

Jesuit 57
King 47.
Not as bad as I thought. But look Jesuit scored over 55.

What a down year in the Catholic League.
Jesuit/BM/ARHS will fight it out, with Jesuit winning it.

Yea, I expect the catholic schools to dominate this league. Should get a good indication this week with both Rummel and Jes visiting BM. I know the Rummel game is going to be on the radio. I think BM takes it, team is totally different now that Singleton is back. Hell, the guy who started in his place is now playing JV.

i thought about it but didn't have enough of a want to go...
25-6 BM in the third, what happened? we won the other three quarters by 1
the last time i saw us play we lost by 3 to Shaw... wonder where'd they fit in in this district?
i might hit the return game in a couple weeks... i've never been to three of the gyms in this district
by the way East Jeff beats Holy Cross by 2 and St. Aug wins by 50

All of our starter played the entire 3rd. We had 2 get in foul trouble in the first half, Gray and Singleton. Chal never lead. Wasn't quite wire to wire as the game was tied at 7 at one point. Jab makes this team so much better it is not even funny.

Got hot, late in the 3rd, from beyond the arc. Or was that in the 4th? as well.
Shot better from the line, as well. 31 told me that, but it was easy to see, as well.
Owl, love the photos in the lobby, and the flag from Andrew Jackson.

Na, Owls won the 4th. We pulled away in the third when Jab returned to the line up after sitting out the second with 2 fouls.

game 2 tonight... let's hope we can jump faster than they can float...
okay played out joke, but this might be our best shot to beat Jesuit in something this year. they aren't world beaters in basketball like they are in everything else. winner probably keeps their state playoff hopes alive
also the Rummel-Brother Martin winner is 1/3rd of the way toward a district title IMO

Chalmette gives away a third quarter 12-point lead and falls by 1 as the Jays make the plays down the stretch on their home court... the Owls missed free throws in the fourth quarter, and Jesuit #5 and #14 made theirs.
Riley Conroy of Jesuit had 5 3-pointers and 22 points in the game.
Chalmette went on a run in the second quarter, might have been 18-0 at one point, but Jesuit got in the bonus in the third. the fouls evened out eventually.
Cody Williams missed a tieing 3 off the front rim with 15 seconds left, and Jarrell Green made a 3 with 6 seconds left and the Owls down 4, but Jesuit held the ball in the backcourt with Chalmette out of timeouts.
their floor is pathetic. way too many wet spots and players were slipping all over. i've never seen another gym quite like that.
