two big games tonight...

Brother Martin clinches the title with a W tonight, and can make Jesuit sweat in terms of getting the second place bid to the state playoffs

meanwhile Chalmette and West Jeff play an elimination game, with the loser out of the running for second place and no hope for making the playoffs. the winner lives another three days with its hope intact

The title is all but clinched with a 2 game lead and King & Jeff left on the schedule.

After a tight first quarter, Chalmette dominates from the second quarter until garbage time to keep their hope alive for second place and end West Jeff's

the Owls had ridiculously hot shooting hands tonight and handled West Jeff's big men #1 and #50. Cody Williams made 3 threes in the first quarter.

ouch

we're still mathematically alive, but no way West Jeff will go to Jesuit and win with the team they showed us tonight

58-54 Jesuit final Fleming misses a tying 3 for Brother Martin with 5 seconds left

I've been listening to just the 4th quarter here, and it seems like there is a foul called on each trip down the court.

TONIGHT:

Brother Martin's magic number to clinch district is 2, and Jesuit's magic number to clinch second is 1

Chalmette can play spoiler tonight by keeping Rummel out of the playoffs

18-10 Rummel at halftime... Chalmette has gone cold in the second quarter. it's a concern bc we usually start fast.

final night is tonight... BM takes care of business, they win district... a first round home game looks out of reach for them though

Rummel might sneak in with a win... beating Jesuit will bump them up, but it will be close

Chalmette looks to clinch a .500 district record tonight
