Krag can fill passing coor role. Stud did well before Jefferson took over. Need a line coach with a bunch of hardware to show o-line recruits

who would want that stress. If I had his money at 36 yrs old(set for life) no way I coach for a living.

Between the two, and no slight towards Faneca, Mawae has the potential to be a great OL coach. He pretty much played every OL position at LSU, and was one of the smartest players in the NFL. He was also very technical, which allowed him to last as long as he did.

But as previously mentioned, he does like Nashville...

My comment wasnt about Jefferson. I think stud runs a good proset vs read option. I'm not a lee or Jefferson guy. I think the coach's got the most out of two average qb's. I think a good line coach who could recruit is our biggest need

We need a big time recruiter that happens to be able to coach wrs. Most wr coaches are primarily recruiters for a reason. Wr is not that hard to coach. Krags or Wilson could coach wrs along with their current duties. We need a recruiter that can take some of the pressure off Frank Wilson. Haley is the only other top notch recruiter on the staff and he mainly only recruits DL prospects. People keep asking how Bama can come in and take the top player in LA or how Auburn could take Reed/Robinson in consecutive years and the reason is top notch recruiters. Frank is having to take on too much.

Thats exactly how I feel.

What do you think about Porter?

I think Ensminger should be replaced with a younger coach who is a superior recruiter.

I agree with replacing ensminger. Still think an all pro nfl lineman can bring in the line talent that we can't get in state. A guy that played at lsu and is going to the hall of fame. Skill players we get in state year in and year out.

Mawae or Faneca have been mentioned for this gig on TD going back to when still playing in NFL..either would be great.

And how is Big Ben's progression coming along? Ben is a classy guy and with a heart of gold..

LSU would be blessed to have any of the three as OL Coach.
