All I can say to this is damn.
Thanks Jarrett Lee and all the seniors for a special year.

A true freshman insinuating his coach fricked up. Feels like the sky is falling.
I know I am in the minority here, but these players sacrifice a lot to play college football, sure there are benefits but they are not receiving their true market value. I think he has every right to call out someone who is getting paid 4.1 million dollars, and who he is trusting with his body with.
I know I have second guessed decisions my coach has made before and when I was a coach there were decisions I made that should have been second guessed and were. Only one thing to do, say I am sorry I made a mistake, players Fans and the entire LSU family I apologize.

I hope he's not relegated to the doghouse next season for his comments.

It verifies what our eyes have seen. The offense is better with Lee and the wide receivers productivity goes up when Lee plays
The WR know it.
The WR know it.

It made me sad reading about Lee talking about those first 9 games. I remembered the excitement in the program and the wild ride. Then watching it slowly revert back to 2010 as JJ's playing time continued to increase.

So we can add this to miles personnel decision that we have questioned:
continuing to run a hurt hester against kentucky when charles scott was on fire.
forcing Lee to pass against tech when K. williams was on fire.
Playing lee too long in the 2008 season
Playing JJ too long last night.
I havent' been a JL fan, but last night was shitty for that guy.. Not only for him but for the team...The Gameplan and play selection didn't help either.

Without Jefferson, I don't think we could have beat Alabama (in the regular season). Props to JJ for providing a spark and giving us just enough to pull out a victory.
BUT, and that's a very big BUT, I think this team took a step backwards offensively when the switch was made to JJ full time. If we could have kept Lee as the primary starter and use Jefferson as a change of pace/spot duty QB....I think the offense would have been close to unstoppable. The lack of a down field passing attack killed this offense. We were lucky to wear down opponents in the Arkansas and Georgia games. Alabama was too good for that. We wasted a good defensive effort (first half speaking) last night.

Lee's quote near the end of the article is really classy. Waht a great kid.
JLee always has taken the high road, especially in the midst of the drama. He never threw anyone under the bus.
There really seems to be something behind the scenes that has influenced this turn of events for him.

This was my point all season. Play them both. Start Lee and bring JJ in to change things up. It would have been a great solution.
We actually had JJ throwing more downfield when Lee was playing as well. He did not throw downfield hardly at all last night. It was like he was a true freshman. Horrible.

quote:It cost Miles ~$6Million and coronation as a shoe-in HOF coach of one of history's top teams. You think your fricking idiotic "demand" for an explanation means one tiny rat turd compared with that?
And I believe the media and fans should demand an honest explanation from Miles on why he refused to go to Lee
You guys need to frick off!
Get over it!
LSU has played brilliantly in the post season every year Miles has been here. Every single year. We finally had a bad postseason game. It sucked. No question.
I don't know that JL could have made a difference playing behind a brutally ineffective OLine. Would I have liked to see him get the chance? Absolutely! I suspect Miles felt that under pressure, JL would do what he'd done in Tuscaloosa --- Panic, throw ints, and turn a 15-0 game into a 35-0 game.
But JesusHChrist folks! The man was coach of the year!. He beat this Bama team in Tuscaloosa. He's returning the #1 team in the country next year. Had Saban not been outcoached on November 5th by the same guy y'all are suddenly happily running down, this would be widely regarded as the best team ever to take the field in Tuscaloosa. Think about it.
Last night just wasn't our night.

Miles' decisions got us to 13-0.
But I still want to know the reasoning behind it.

Start Lee and bring JJ in to change things up.
Same as last year but roles reversed. It seemed to work pretty well for us/JJ last year, and this year against Bama1 for us/JL. But JL should have started every other game with JJ coming in for lack of productivity, (3-4 consectutive 3 n outs) or blowouts to work on plays for when we needed him like Bama1. Not to lead the team to demise.

The article was quoting team members reactions and you are going off on rantards. Chill.

Last night wasn't our night and Bama outplayed and outcoached us. We will be back and probably will have a better team next year, so the sky isn't falling people. I do have a problem with anyone who thinks we should blindly agree with Les on every decision he makes. He screwed up severely last night and there is no way you can sugar coat that. Also, how can you think Les lost $6million last night?
Posted on 1/10/12 at 9:02 pm to Roaad
I am sure the receivers viewed what happened to Lee as a death in the family. They became afterthoughts in the game plans going forward. Heck, neither QB seemed to hold up to pressure. Contrast that with RSSoph McCarron who had the game of his life against the vaunted LSU secondary. Not one play all night from any of them.

Hey NCTigah: I'm not getting over it, and will go to my grave thinking that not putting in JLee was an All- Time Les Miles Epoch Failure.
Maybe nothing would have changed, or it might have made things worse. However, we will never know because Les Miles did not give Lee a chance. Les Miles let the team down and showed a lack of leadership......
