I stayed up and watched the replay last night and noiced 2 things..

Bama was on the cusp of getting several late hits called, but the refs didn't pull the trigger.
Hit on Reid OOB on the block FG return and a hit on Ford OOB on an option play.
Sure, there are some calls missed for both side, but a lot of calls are subjective: holding, bang-bang PI, etc, but late hits are pretty cut and dry.
Bama gets called for two late hits tonight:
1. One early which extends a scoring drive for LSU
2. A second one late in frustration after we have sealed up a W.

I noticed that LSu blew at least 3 or 4 coverages while bama only blew one. Had LSU not blown those coverages LSU would have gained more yards

TR had 4 big pass plays.
1 blown coverage, two rub routes where a crossing TE/WR helped shield the covering LB, and a screen pass in the 4th.

All we have to do is contain Maze and Richardson. Easier said than done, but I think those are key...also getting to the QB to create pressure, or turnovers. WE MUST PROTECT THE BALL. We came out slow the last 2 games...can't do that against bama

Wasn't JJ speared right in the chest by a BAMA LB late two years ago directly in front of the white hat who can be seen looking directly at the hit?

Reid intercepted a pass on one of the blown coverages. There were at least 3-4. The rub route was one IMO b/c our LB wasn't going out to cover TR anyway...or if he had he was still burned.
My point is all we hear is bama made mistakes and didn't play well....I think LSU actually played worse than bama as far as playing up to each teams ability. Except ST of course.

I think that's right and that pundits who only talk about Bama playing down that game must not have watched LSU this year.

1st half:
Rushing yards- 53

2nd half:

That is the only thing that has pissed me off watching the so called "experts" talk like bama played terrible but LSU played great. Bama played much closer to their ability than LSU did IMO.
I think that is what makes me more confident about the game....I see LSU playing better on both sides of the ball tonite.

I also noticed that Bama has fat LB's that can't run sideline to sideline.
Anything outside the tackles, they can't run for shite. Just make sure the equipment managers don't leave twinkie filling on the back of anyone's jerseys, they should be fine.
