CLM and staff are very good and this post is in no way a knock on them. I'm just wondering what we can do to be even better.

We have a coach who's winning % is up there with the best and his sideline demeanor is about as cool as any coach I've ever seen. He is playing for his 2nd BCS trophy. The players seem to love playing for him.

With everything going our way on the field right now...it seems that we would be having an easier time with our La guys? Reading a rumor that Hill was waivering...made me want to puke. I could maybe understand this if we were a 9-10 win team but we are friggin like 25-2 over the past 2 years and arguably the best program in the nation right now. We will also be pre-season #1 next year. That should be VERY easy to sell.

They could start finding out who all the Rival 250's girlfriends are and start giving them scholarships

haha be less successful recruiting BAMF running backs will help us recruit other BAMF running backs.

Teams often see the rewards of their championship season the year after they win.

See our 09 class being amazing, and our 08 class just being standardly good.

#1 team in the land, deepest team in the land and another top 5 recruiting class coming in.

What are the struggles you speak of? Not enough stars for you?

God star gazers suck.

LSU does fine recruiting. Saban is one helluva closer, and I don't think anyone will top him. LSU really doesn't have a recruiting problem.

Dude......LSU recruits as good or better than any other team in the country. WTF are you talking about? Do you not see the studs all over the field for y'all?

I trust the staff's ability to evaluate talent over whatever the various recruiting services may say, and even they keep saying that LSU is recruiting top classes every season.

With that said, I would like us to close off Louisiana a bit better than we have been the past few seasons. I think the foundation of our program starts at home: allowing too many Louisiana kids, ones we really target, to slip away is not conducive toward keeping us among college football's elite.

The overall difference in recruiting rankings from spots 1-5 are minimal. I would rather put trust in our coaches for evaluating players, than in scouting companies and websites who are out to make a profit.

Our coaches gave scholarships to numerous 3 star players over potential 4 and 5 star players in the past few years. Mainly because they see more potential in some players over others, not because of the amount of "stars" they are graded with.

Being in the top 10 of recruiting year in and out is all we need, from there the main thing is motivating and developing players.

Add another ace to the staff...about all you can do.

People point to how great we are now but if we keep losing blue chip prospects to rivals like Bama...it is eventually going to hurt.

We have depth NOW and partly because of this was when Porter was recruiting coordinator he brought in some ridiculous guys. Wilson seems to be on that trend too but I honestly think Porter was better. He could solidify the instate guys AND go OOS and get a beast from Texas.

Most of the SEC is getting a lot better in recruiting while LSU is kinda just staying the same. We just need one more ace on our staff with what we currently have, IMO. I think next year we'll have a ridiculous incoming class though. When you really land recruits is the year after a NC because it is fresh in minds.
