Greatest I've seen. But if he loses a couple games next year, the fable of Saban will be back.

Yeah. He will pass up Cholly Mac in total wins soon as well.

He's my personal favorite already

Winning Monday would put him there for the majority of Tiger fans I would think

Yes, he is the only LSU coach that I know of who has PLAYED for TWO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, and he has been our coach for seven years !

Not quite yet, but he is getting close. A win Monday would go a long way.

Entire body of (LSU) work to date versus Saban, McClendon and Dietzel as of right now, I'd say yes - with Mac a close second due to overall number of wins.

:::: W - L - T - SEC - Nat'l
Miles : 75 - 17 - 0 - 2 - 1*
Saban: 48 - 16 - 0 - 2 - 1
Mac : 137 - 59 - 7 - 1 - 0
Dietzel: 46 - 24 - 3 - 1 - 1

(* 9 Jan game)
--------------

If the Tigers win on 9 Jan it's a slam dunk.

He has kept LSU on the national map in football on a consistent annual basis. His major asset to the university is his ability to recruit nationally. Saban started it and Miles has kept the engine running and even improved LSU's image! YES he is proving to be the best Coach in LSU history. He also is smart enough to surround himself with not only great players but great coaches. Unbelievable job! Number one in my book! Geaux Tigers!

I was looking through the history of our program last night. LSU had 7 seasons with 10 wins or more before Miles in its history. Miles has 5 in 7 years. Yeah, I know we play one more game but guess what, Miles has at least 11 wins in all 5 of those seasons.

Does a bear crap in the woods?

80% winning percentage, 6-1 bowl record, most wins by ANY BCS school since 2005, 1 OOC loss in 7 years, 5 of 7 seasons nationally ranked in Top 8 or better, 5 seasons of 7 with 11 or more wins, 3 West titles, and 2 NCGs.

All done during a career when the SEC is at its most powerful ever with 6 NCs by 4 different programs.

Win or lose on the 9th, Coach Miles is already the most successful HC in LSU history.
