Agreed. Condon & Moscona were great together, because Condon had a straight guy to play off of.... as a solo host, he had trouble sustaining my interest. During football season, I would hardly ever listen to Condon because I wanted to hear real info on LSU/college football... but after the season, I would listen to Condon strictly for entertainment.

Charlie's show was my favorite back around Y2K, and I'm actually more excited about the addition of his show than I am disappointed about the demise of 1210. Still, I liked listening to Jordy on the morning drive, but I definately prefer Moscona's format, and Songy was just irritating.

one day bilj called blake and josh's show and asked about the new saints linebacker (i believe that is what you said, right bilj ??), tuffy rhodes, who was actually a journeyman houston astro from years ago .. well, blake proceeds to break him on down like he knew what bilj was talking about ..

i am excited about charles getting on the air again too ... and like i said earlier, i am not sure if all of this 1210 shite didn't speed up the process so all of those guys don't bug the shite out of gordy rush for jobs ... i just wish the station had a stronger signal in BR ..

There used to be a daily in game thread here for TSR hosted by josh innes and Blake Andrews. It just became a running joke about how little Blake knew about sports. We figured we could make up a name of a FA the saints "signed" and instead of admitting he didn't know him Blake would probably try to bullshite. Either max or knat decided we'd use the name of a former cubs player, turfy Rhodes.
I called and asked Blake about the new LB the saints signed tuffy Rhodes and Blake went into a whole thing about him. I pressed and asked him to compare him to a current player in the league. Blake said he could not until getting a closer look at him in camp, I said no Blake that's because I made him up.

Tuffy Rhodes was once on pace for 486 home runs in a single MLB season.
Also, I do remember listening to "Total Sports Radio" for one reason, the in-game threads on the MSB. I had to keep up so I knew what everyone was laughing at.

What a lot of us are forgetting is that MOST people get at least a 2 week notice when their job is being terminated so they can make other arrangements. These guys got notice on a Sunday not to come in on Monday!!! I think the fact it changed to Gospel is such a contradiction because what they did to these men is unchristian and crappy at best. Whether you like a particular host is one thing but feeling bad that men with families are scrabbling to find employment and hopefully not lose sponsors in the process is another. What 1210's management did with a decision that had to be in the works for months is crappy at best!

I agree with the spirit of what you are saying, but I am sure that the agreement all of the hosts signed with the station, as independent contractors, had a clause in it that stated they could be let go at any moment. The hosts knew this was a risk they were taking going in.

do you remember max emfinger ? he was a big bullshite artist recruiting guru that claimed to know everything about everybody .. once, there was a talk host somewhere in the US that got the bright idea to send max info about a fictitious stud linebacker from a made up high school .. two weeks later, the dude shows up in emfinger's superprep top 25 complete with his list of schools looking at him ..

ehhh .. i think you are thinking about it the other way around when an employee gives two weeks notice .. usually, when there are layoffs .. you are called in the office and let go ..
