Ok, probably not. Got a table saw and a belt sander for christmas and put this guy together. Still have a little work left to do on it. Usually duck hunt spring bayou, pomme de terre, and PAC. Anyone know if big branch is worth a go during the week when the masses aren't there?

Why didn't you just get that epoxy stuff and put a screen door in the bottom and spray the hell out of it ? I've seen it on tv and they don't even leak !

I know this is a heinous faux pas but I like a keelson on a pirogue so it tracks better across open water and takes a beating better grounding and getting in and out.

Good for your first. Cut the top of the bow stems, plan down your handrails about 10" and apply some plywood for handles. Oh, your color SUCKS! A bird will spot that a mile away.

Had to do that to the bottom and it was a bitch. Cut as much as I could and used my random orbital sander....finally got a belt sander and plan on taking off the top part.

Only decent color home depot had. Figured I can cover it in blind material when I hunt with it.

I don't know if I can paddle fast enough to get my fatass on plane.

Just get a few different shades of tan and a paint brush and go to town on it

Now get one of these and enjoy the good life. Make you feel like Hefner on one of his yachts.

Are pirogues more or less stable than canoes and kayaks?

Can't beat the price of building your own.

No way I'd trust that on the water.

I prefer to buy my Peerows. Project looks great though man. I met a guy the other day thats builds wooden peerows as a parttime business. Guy looks just like one of the Robertsons.
