I grew up down the street from David. Our families were good friends. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Thanks for posting this and having lost many a loved one who were all Big Tiger fans, I feel for the family. My prayers and sympathy are sent to his friends and family.

I'm not exactly sure how old David was, but I'm 55 and he was around my age. Also, he LOVED the classic rock that we all grew up with.

People think that everyone goes to heaven or that all religions are the same...Muslims go to what is called paradise...Buddhists are reincarnated as are Hindus...those that claim Jesus christ as Lord go to heaven. There is only one God and when you meet Him, LSU football will not be on your mind. You'll be too busy glorifying the Son of God to remember the arse kicking Bama is going to get.

I pray he was saved and if not that the Lord has mercy on his soul. Amen

It would have been more appropriate to just send your condolences to the family without all that unnecessary BS. My prayers are with David's family. May they stay strong through their time of mourning.

Prayers to him and his family.

I think I may have seen him but I really can't recall. That's right where I hang out to watch the players and the band come down the hill.

Sad to hear about his passing.

So, if Alabama wins, does that mean that ole Dave didn't make it up there?

David isn't bound to a chair anymore. He's been freed from all infirmity. He won't read a chat board littered with insensitive posts. His every moment is spent in the presence of the Almighty with a singular desire to praise the Father. Maybe Gabriel will do us a solid and trumpet the LSU Fight Song for Ol' Dave on the 9th. Here's to a race well run. Geaux Tigers - BEAT bama!
