quote:

“Whenever I was going through that, I was questioning why it had to be me to go through this,” he said. “I had to stay positive about it. Once I got negative, that’s when things would’ve fell apart for me. My performance would’ve been terrible if I’d thought about it that way. If I’d have continued to be bitter about that situation, I wouldn’t have had the games I’ve had.” If you took that quote out of context, you’d probably think it came from a guy who missed a season with a torn ACL. Maybe a player who’d lost a parent or a sibling. Not somebody who broke curfew to go to Shady’s Bar on a Thursday night and then turned himself in to police 10 days later after eyewitnesses claimed he and another player, linebacker Josh Johns, had beaten a man so badly that he ended up in the hospital.

I have defended JJ as much as anyone on here, but dude really needs to shut his pie hole. Just about everything he says is wrong. He seems to have very little self-awareness.

I can't believe Miles lets him talk to the media. I do think his "shooting from the hip" interview style is why Miles wouldn't let the QBs talk to the media for periods throughout this season.

Why? If he didn't do anything why should he feel sorry? Should he feel sorry for breaking curfew with half of the rest of the team? Should he feel sorry a bitch lied? Should he feel sorry the BRPD have their heads up their asses? Please.

No remorse, because it was Spencer Ware who did the kicking, not JJ.

JJ took the fall to keep everything under wraps.

He was indicted for kicking a man in the head. He was not indicted of a felony, but nonetheless, he was indicted for misdemeanor battery. He said several times that he did not do it, but the a grand jury found the evidence against him credible enough to indict him, which means that they did not find his testimony to be very credible.

It was the lesser degree because the grand jury did not feel that the injuries to the vicitim warranted a felony charge. You seem to think because he was not indicted on the felony charge that he didn't kick a person in the head that was laying on the ground, you are incorrect, the grand jury (apparently) felt like there was enough evidence to convict him of something.

Ever thought that he possibly took the lesser charge so as to not have to fight it in a long court battle, and so he could get back on the team and play his senior season?

Being indicted only means that the case isn't so hopelessly week that there can be a trial. It doesn't mean that the evidence actually means what the prosecutor(s) claim it does. Video evidence clearly shows JJ isn't kicking the guy in the head, and there was reportedly no evidence found that he did do so aside from one girl's testimony who brought the guy to the hospital, and stayed with him while he was asleep the next morning.

Keep in mind that Josh Johns was arrested by the police and he wasn't even at Shady's.

JJ did nothing at all.

He didn't plead to anything. The matter is still ongoing. Anyone without bias can see, though, that prosecutors will get their asses handed to them at trial. JJ could go with a pd and still beat these charges without sweat.

A decent D.A. can get a Grand Jury to indict a ham sandwich!!! It means nothing.

Yeah. The matter isn't settled and I hope to God it goes to trial so that people can see what dumbasses the cops and the DA's office were. If I were JJ, there would be no talk of dropping charges or pleas to this charge without an abject apology from the DA's office, the BRPD, and lifetime free bj card from one Victoria Long.

Correct! Unless you are a Rantard, then indictment is enough to find a man guilty.
