Good for Bushrod. While I don't think he's a top 2 or 3 tackle, he is arguably the most improved player on the team. Sproles didn't make it because he doesn't fit neatly into one category. As a kick returner, he wasn't going to beat out Hester and he can't compete with pure RB's either. If there was a "wild card" player, I'm sure he would be at the top of everyone's list.
It'll be interesting to see who the alternates are and I'm sure the Saints will get a few more players in as guys drop out.

Harper and Greer got fricked. No way they should be alternates.
Shanle should be in as well as an alternate. Dude is a beast.
Sproles should be a lock in the "I do everything but throw" category.

As an addendum to my original post, it looks like Hester couldn't beat out PP7. Sproles was probably 3rd or 4th.

I've been revving up the Bushrod train this year. The dude has stepped his game up significantly- now obviously. Look for the get rid of him threads post-season to spot the lightweight fans living on 2 yr old news.
Looking for crow eaters on Loomis re-signing him to a relatively modest deal!
Harper prolly next in line for an alternate spot. Greer maybe, but doubt it myself.
