is it possible to legally fumble when your knees are on the ground waiting to be touched down?

Is that a fumble??????
I dont think it would technically be a fumble.

He was on his kness when they contacted him, so i think he'd be down as soon as he was touched

So all you are allowed to do is "touch" someone while they are down?

What if that guy tries to get back up and run, you just touching him isn't going to stop the play if his knees are off the ground.

What a POS rule, humongous loophole.

I meant. Bad as in it hurt.

Yeah, that was a tough call. Not a fumble though.

fricking refs shouldn't determine the outcome of a game. Should the dude have gotten up and run for a touchdown, it would've counted.

I actually take it back. The officials made the right call, but it is a terrible rule.

exactly
helmet to helmet is the scapegoat for everything

if the runner was down voluntarily then fine you can't hit him, call it that way but don't throw in helmet to justify that vagina call
