Pretty good track record on pro styles, even Heaps has looked pretty good for BYU as a true Fresh/Soph. (Why they didn't just stick with him, and instead piss him off into transferring, I have no idea..)

Clausen was all hype IMO, because of ND
Barkley and stafford are serious ballers as is driskel.
Driskel is in a bad situation right now

I see 3 top 15 picks there and then the probable 2013 #1 pick in barkley.
the DT guys are so damn hard to project, but Pryor and Taylor showed their worth to their teams...they were good at what they did.
Miller will end up being a beast in that Meyer offense.

Stafford is an NFL Starter & star.
Tebow is an NFL star who happens to be a starter.
Clausen is an NFL backup and has started before.
Tyrod is an NFL backup.
Pryor is an NFL backup.
Blaine Gabbert is an NFL starter.
Matt Barkley will be a top 5 NFL Draft pick next year.
Russell Shepard will get drafted as a WR.
Jake Heaps started at BYU, and got benched. Transferring to Weis & Kansas.
Devin Gardner got injured at Michigan & Denard Robinson has a year left but may switch positions.
Braxton Miller was Big Ten freshman of the year & could be a college star under Meyer.
Jeff Driskel got thrown into the fire, but has tools to blossom.

The four pro-style QBs we can judge (still too early on Heaps, IMO, and definitely on Driskil) were/are all great college quarterbacks. For the dual-threats, Tebow is obviously one of the best ever, and Pryor and Taylor were both very good, as well. Obviously N/A on Shep.
Pretty good track record, actually. Better than I thought it'd be before clicking on the thread/seeing the list.

after looking at that list, still amazes me that cotten left om. obviously the guy had some talent. not sure why they always try to patch things up with juco's and transfers. obviously that formula does not work in the long run.

I thought Garret Gilbert was the top QB when he was a Sr?
My memory is failing I guess

Heaps was terrible at the beginning of the year and the backup started winning games.

is russell shephard the first top ranked dual threat qb to never throw the ball in college. this just still strikes me as wierd. i can understand start, but never throw a ball. this is with assuming he doesnt take a snap his senior year.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Rivals has markedly improved in QB evaluation. If you look at their old rankings, it's gotten tremendous better.

Did a Google on # 18 Jacob Karam from that list you linked. I had heard he was transferring from Texas Tech and had also heard some Texas fans thought he'd be a good back up for them next year.
Interesting info in the first article that popped up: myfoxhouston.com
Wasn't this kid a big LSU fan in high school?
Wow, smart kid too:
He might should wait and see who else offers.

Karam, a red-shirt sophomore, graduated this month magna cum laude from Texas Tech with a degree in university studies/pre-law and he did it all in two-and-a-half years.
Karam still has two years of eligibility left .
Because he has already graduated NCAA rules will allow him to play immediately at his next school.
Karam played in five games for Texas Tech in 2011 and was 9-17 for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
He might should wait and see who else offers.
