NBA defensive talent IMO. Damn fricking shame he blew out his knee.
He absolutely SHUT DOWN people on the perimeter.

He gave me his purple Jersey

My face ended up in his left armpit after the fans stormed the court after the 2000 Arizona upset.
Yes I remember him. Great player.

Of course. Roland was a big part of that 2000 Sweet 16 team. I also remember he had asthma and the game against Wisconsin was in The Pit (New Mexico?). His breathing was really affected by the high elevation.

I remember him pretty well. 2000 was the year I really started following LSU basketball. He played really well on our 2000 Sweet Sixteen team, and tore his knee up before his senior year.

Lamont liked the baseline left hand reverse when on offense

Yeah Lamont definitely tore his knee during the Alabama game.
That was a tough as nails team. Devoid of experienced talent, but a good bit of young. Losing Lamont hurt that squad.

Tore up his knee his senior yr I believe
This turned a team that was probably headed for the NIT into one with a losing record.

One of the most underrated players I have seen.
