I backed up Johnny Dixon at Shortstop. I remember his recruitment, hell Bobby Bowden came to West Jeff's baseball practices. He signed with Ole Miss and his Senior year wore Chucky Mullins number. Never went big in the pros

Did play against Bobby Strogen, Bubby Brister.
Associated? Larry Robson. Played in the NBA and Europe. He actually lived at our house for a few months when his brother was very ill.

I love how this thread is the MOST famous pro star you've played with or against, and everybody has like 3 guys listed. Even the OP.
Drew Brees.

I was playing softball down in Florida and one year we had Rob Kish ( Race Across America multiple year winner, a bicycle race across America) and Wes Chandler(wide receiver) in our outfield. The next year Wes played for another team and I threw him out at second base. I have retired from ball these days, but I have the trophies and the memories.

I played for St. Paul's in Covington from 2003-06; played against a few studs along the way. Here are some I can remember who are noteworthy:
Player, High School, College, Year played against
Matt Forte, Slidell High, Tulane in 2003
Christian Ducre, Fontainebleau, Mississippi St, 2003-04
Steven Korte, Fontainebleau, LSU, 2003-04
Troy Giddens, Hammond, LSU, 2003-04
Brandon Taylor, Franklinton, LSU, 2005-06
Jhyryn Taylor, Franklinton, LSU, 2005-06
Drake Nevis, John Ehret, LSU, 2006
Lamin Barrow, John Ehret, LSU, 2006
Chad Jones, St. Aug, LSU 2005 (Pre-Katrina)
Tyrann Mathieu, St. Aug, LSU, 2006 (he was only a freshman, but was on the team regardless)
Chris Faulk, Northshore, LSU, 2006
Jared Mitchell, Westgate, LSU, 2005 (single-handedly beat us)
Brandon Mitchell, Amite, Arkansas, 2006
Jerry Mitchell, Mandeville, Arkansas, 2006
Michael Mauti, Mandeville, Penn St, 2004,05,06
Nick Boullosa, Covington, Tulane (baseball -- was an incredibly athletic QB/WR) 2003-06
That is all I can think of

Was on HS team with a guy who later played a couple of years in the NFL
