Why? It works against teams in their conference?

GT was 3rd in rush offense in the nation
19th in points per game
and 60th in points allowed a game

It's working for them and like someone stated earlier it's easier to recruit players to fit into that offense

not a great example. Bama was never focused to play that game, especially being after 11/5.

That's no excuse for giving up 300 rushing yards to a team that's filled with 1 star recruits is it?

Coaching staff believes they have deep understanding of that particular scheme, and can make necessary adjustments in-game and in-season to counter defenses' strengths and capabilities.

Many scholls that use these schemes realize that they are unlikely to recruit top-tier talent up and down the roster, so by committing to a specialized scheme they can instead recruit the particular skills needed and can coach the techniques necessary to run the scheme.

the acc should join the so con then

and the guys saying GT is running the option so they can make up for the talent gap have nailed it. if CPJ cannot get a defense worth a shite then he can still fire Groh but it may be the beginning of his end. and when GT does part ways with him they are hosed because the talent gap will be enormous.

In the 90's they had a name for a team like that, it was called Nebraska.

I'm sure if you gave Georgia Tech Alabama's defense this year, they'd be a championship contender.

What chance does Georgia Tech realistically have of winning a national championship?

You do realize that
Of the last 20 national championships awarded by the coaches- GA Tech is equal to the entire Big10

You do realize that's not true. Ohio State won the coaches title in 2002, that's more titles than Ga Tech has won in the last 20 years.

This. It works in the ACC, but it wouldn't in the SEC due to fast LBs and big DTs.
GT wouldn't be able to compete running any offense in the SEC...because of talent level. That offense at least gives them an opportunity to neutralize the talent difference.

Given the right talent, that offense would be very effective in the SEC.

As someone mentioned earlier, it's not the offense that holds GT back, but the defense. GT would win NCs with that offense and LSU's or Bama's defense.

Yes we should just ignore the last 150 years of football and demote a conference to fcs because they have been bad the last 5 years.

ETA we should expand your argument to any team that hasnt won a national title in the last 25 years and they to can join the socon. UGA and GT would be in the same division obviously
