No. Everything I said was absolutely correct.

I threw in "basically" because I didn't want to look up how many minutes we trailed against Oregon in the first half of the first game.

Lol. So basically what you said was incorrect.

For Saban to lose would mean he could start looking for a new home !!

Absolutely Not, those fans worship the ground he walks on just like we did when he was here.

Blue and Hilliard had a combined 2 carries for 2 yards (both Hilliard) in the first game against Alabama. They have both come on huge since then.

RB's have not improved substantially since 11/5.

Very true

quote:

Jarrett Lee was completely ineffective and we had to scrap our gameplan in the second quarter and shift. His 2 interceptions were also killers.

Also true

quote:

Our Linebacker play has improved markedly. We are seeing less Karnell Hatcher, it seems, and he was getting killed by Richardson on those little dump routes across the middle.

Somewhat true. Minter forgot to cover TR more so then Hatcher. Hatcher actually makes us stronger against the RB routes. Maybe with the increased experience Minter will be better. That said, Our LB play HAS improved.

LSU led all season execpt a few minutes in the first half of the first game against Oregon. Except for that, trailing against Alabama was their first real experience in playing from behind all year.

By adding "basically," my statement was absolutely correct.

You are ridiculous.

The more time Les has the better his scheming.

Is Jarrett Lee able to play? I mean physically or mentally. He was kept out of Georgia game when there were no 1st downs for a half, and I assume there was a reason beyond just what a coach would think about momentum or wanting to stick with one QB. Point here is that if JL can't play for some reason (other than taking a knee) then the BCSCG could be much worse for LSU if JJ comes up limping out of a pile. Even with no 1st downs Coach thought, for whatever reason, LSU was better off with JJ than with JL or Met. Just looks like an Achilles Heel to me.

Another thought about Bama QB McCarron: He may have been spooked against LSU and not be as good in BCSCG as on 5 NOV 11. Those last two passes in overtime were awful. Then on 3rd down he took a dive--I mean, he was never hit. LSU99 came up and put symbolic hands on him, but McCarron just crumpled. He may have been mentally rattled by his experience. He's really young.

I don't think LSU even needs to be better to beat Bama at its home away from home. The improvements are a bonus that will lead to a convincing win in the Dome.

The offense has been terrible of late, to be honest
how can you say that when the offense put up just about 500 yards of total offense against Arkansas? Obviously, the offense played like shite in the first half vs. UGA, but came on strong with more than 200 yards rushing in the second half. We were averaging 450 yards of offense since the Bama game until the first half of UGA struck...

I'd say, with the exception of the first half of UGA, the offense played the best it has all season.

Bama's D might have had something to do with shutting them down, right?

Well by all means, I hope they carry it 50 times on Jan 9. LSU isn't gonna get many rushing yards on Bama's D. You know it. Les knows it. Could be why they didn't get the touches.

I would say another 148 yards would be sufficient.

We are a younger team across the board than Bama and younger guys always have more room for improvement than 4th and 5th year Seniors. We've seen that the 2nd half of this year.

Bama, with a month to get ready, will know how to defend against the option. Hopefully LSU is preparing something when the option gets shut down.

They watched two weeks of film prior to that game, chock full of LSU running the option. When it is executed well with high-end athletes, it can still be productive. Arkansas tried to overload the weak side to stop it. What did the Tigers do? They brought Joseph and Clement over and wiped out the extra coverage. Not saying that Arkansas has 'Bama's defensive ability, but 'Bama knew it was coming and still didn't stop it. Part of the reason lies in the fact that their huge linebackers can't match LSU's lateral speed.

Really? I would guess that if they carry it 50 times it will mean BAMA is getting their aSSes handed to them!
