Do you think Claiborne will be available? and if so should the Saints select him?

this made the thread a fail. thinking Mo would be there at pick 28 made it an epic fail.

I think we snag Blackmon in the 2nd round, too. What do you guys think about that? Maybe Kalil will be there still, too?????

If Luck is still available in the 3rd round do we take him and let Drew train him up?

well technically we can always get in the first round via trade but in any case, I think claiborne could be a 8-18 type pick.

classic LSU fan/casual saints fan coming over here and blindly suggesting something thats impossible. classic.

While it's clearly been stated the Saints don't have a 1st - I really believe this year will produce a TON of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and even 5th round DEFENSIVE STUDS!
Alabama and LSU alone have a ton of guys that will go in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd and that's just 2 teams that I can think of (albeit the best 2 Ds in the land!)

Eh the vast majority of LSU's D are sophomores this year. There are a few seniors but none that are really noteworthy except maybe Ron Brooks at CB. Next year there will be a flood of talent from LSU and Bama.

I say we draft Mettenberger with the 564th overall pick

this may be one of the most ignorant threads in a while.
Claiborne will be a top 10 pick, if not top-5.
