Lol. There's a lot more population in south la. Hence the need for more schools, genius.

really? duh you idiot. Retard, i am saying that you see a lot more small schools down here (from more private schools for one) compared to as if they were in the north they would probably be combined

and if that doesn't persuade you, just look at LSU roster. 64 out of 80 are from south la. 80%

Hear that? EIGHTY!!

"You are ignorant if you think that the North has better athletes."

Call us all ignorant North LA just come to South LA with worse athletes and won 3 Titles.

Someone with more time on there hands to investigate, tell us when was the last time 1 Parish had 3 State Titles in one year?

jefferson parish had two in 87, 85 and 81. back when there were only 4 classes.

EBR had 2 not too long ago...

considering the size of LA the fact that one parish which is probably not in the top ten population wise had three champions is quite a feat.

and it shows the committment of those schools, communities, parents and kids to athletics... but look at all 3.. look
1. at the staff continuity
2. the middle school systems that feed them

and yeah.. that parish has schools that never win state.. it ain't like WM, OCS and N are the only schools there...

they have st freds, river oaks, ouchita, wossman and west ouchita..... been a long time since wossman mattered...

jj am I leaving any funroe schools out?

I wanna see Curtis and WM play again sometime soon

lot closer to happening than many of ya'll think...

big problem for curtis scheduling home and homes is the fact that they cannot be certain they will get a friday night home game until the Jefferson public schools set their schedules - and folks outside new orleans aren't crazy about saturday games

All this talk about who has better athletes is besides the point. West Monroe is just as impressive as it gets and I am a River Parishes guy. The way their defensive ends controlled the line and the way their linebackers filled was just a joy to watch. So well coached. You look at their roster and is seems evenly divided between Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores. The next group will just step in next year.

Congrats on another trophy WM.

Yes. Carroll, Sterlington, Richwood, Claiborne Christian, Ouachita, OCS, River Oaks, St Fred, Neville, WM, WO, Wossman, and Excelsior Christian are all in Ouachita Parish.

I hear WMHS has some studs coming up the next few years. There was a video on here of 8th grade QB that was impressive.

i ain't taking nothin away from them teams. Congrats to them. WM is def a beast and a great program. But please don't base one year and down the south. once again...look at LSU's roster and the all time wins by the south. I could care less if the north has fewer schools, the same schools, less people, or more people...the south is better period

This argument has gone on forever. A guy on Kenramsey did a detailed study on this question years back. (north football vs south football). He had a lot of statistics that evened things out according to the population difference, etc. etc. It came out that statistically speaking it was draw - 50/50 north vs south.

(If Shows hadn't let the southern la. coaches come up here and learn how to coach years back, it would have stayed lop-sided for the north.)

Game over, WM 5A State Champs.
And Neville and OCS too! Old news, but good to see our north LA teams have success again this year.
