definitely skunked here. I saw three on my first hunt and not a thing in the last 6. a-hole three houses down shot this morning but i didn't see him come out with anything on his 4wheeler. Probably just wounded something with buckshot.

You hunting in the Houma area?

The moon is going to slow everything down this weekend. Probably better to sleep til 9, then hit the stand.

Seems a lil like gloating to those of us needing a tomato juice shower.

I'm skunked. Skunked all last season also. Going to the stockyard buy a calf and shoot it pretty soon to end the streak.

Eta my spelling has failed today.

I'm not gloating about a doe.

Its been a slow season.

I guess you're not knocking'em dead this year.

Missed a nice buck during bow season, haven't hunted since bow season, been busy with school or going to LSU games on the weekends. I'm determined to kill after I get these finals out of the way though

I've killed only two things this season. Time and arse muscle cells.

I would love to be able to break the streak with a doe but we have a very short season for doe here.

I think it is offset by the huge number of bucks ya'll have. I'd trade a few weeks of both sexes for the buck count Texas has.

I have been skunked until this past weekend.

Finally got some meat. I was hunting some DMAP property and my good friend told me to shoot all the does I wanted. They still have to get rid of something like 40 or 50. I was very thankful.

I agree that it is done to maintain population quotas but, it makes for hard hunting with a 13" inside spread restriction and bucks only outside of bow season. Since bow season is usually hotter than hell and winds are in the 20-30 mph range here it aint easy.

Wow, didn't know about the thirteen inch spread.

Is there a point restriction as well?

Passed on several early season that I regret now. Hope that once christmas break starts I'll be able to get after them. Snow on the ground here is really making me want to climb into a stand.

Skunked......saw 4 does and 1 buck during youth season but my boy did not have a good shot at any of them.

I have seen nothing on my solo hunts. We have seen 3 black bears and a bobcat.....should have let him shoot the bobcat.

Going to Bonita with my oldest to blast ducks Saturday morning then going to the UP and not leaving till we kill a deer or gets dark Sunday night.

Still not made a hunt yet. Would go Saturday, but it's a lottery rifle hunt.
